If you have lived in LA or OC for a while, and have experienced some of the local native vegetation, then this nature area may be a surprise for you. It was for me. It is like walking in a forest back east. Much of the area is a dense, very shady, oak and sycamore forest. Even more interesting is that photographs in the Nature Center show that this park used to be bare farmland in the 1960s. The kids will love to see turtles, fish, ducks, humming birds, butterflies and wild flowers. A quarter-mile track is fully accessible. Read moreOn 4/10/25 The staff from the park locked us in and left! The park closes @ 5:00pm, 5:03 we get to the outgate and staff had allready locked the gates and left, living us and other people locked inside. We had to yell to see if we could get someone's attention and eventually someone came from the outside to let us out in a careless way as if she didn't care if we got left lock inside or not.
They @ least should allow a 10 minute grace period @ the closing time to give chance for people that are making there way out...
