I went on Saturday the 11th of May 2024. I had gone at 3 pm and had to leave at 5:30p.m to take my sin yo band practice at a church in the city of Wilmington CA. After dropping him off I was going to relax with my puppy till I realized that I had my wife's truck keys because I had started a softball game with my daughter, nieces, and nephews and I had to get the softball equipment from her truck but I didn't give her the keys back. When I came back the front was locked so I proceeded to go through the exit and ask an employee in a van if I could go in and out to drop off the keys to my wife and daughter. Instead of giving me an answer the black guy started telling me that I was coming in through an exit to which I replied I apologize please let me in through the other side. He then rolled his eyes and left me talking to myself. This young man lacks compassion, customer service, and etiquette. Had the roles been reversed he would have claimed racism and other stuff. I honestly think this guy treated me like this because I'm Mexican and because I have a shaved head. I was nothing but polite to this guy for him to treat me like this. I'm a former Parks and Recs employee and I can tell you that none of the staff that I worked with would have done what this guy did. This new generation needs to practice what they preach. I would love to talk to someone with the city of Long Beach about this situation. I assure you that this would have not happened at any Lakewood Park.
