Maya Rosa Catering — Local services in Longwood

Ordered 2 dinners through DoorDash on 8 November 21. They have very good food that we have odered from there several times. My roommate went to pick up our order and the restaurant posted it was closed on 8 November 21 (the day I ordered the food) through 15 Novemver 21. We did not receive any food since the restaurant was closed. I checked my bank accounf and the charge was pending, so I thought it would drop off since Maya Rosa was closed and never provided us with any meals. I just checked my account again and Iwas shocked they actually took the money from my account like they provided me the meals, when they know they were closed. I am disputing the transaction. The charge to my account is dishonest and I will never purchase from this restaurant again since they appear to have dishonest practices and take customers money even though they do not provide the customer with the meals they ordered.

UPDATE: Maya Rosa did provide us with a refund for the dinners we did not receive and they also provided us with the 2 meals we originally ordered for free. The food was excellent. I will say now that maybe the problem was more DoorDash instead...

Been to this establishment a few different times. We live in Longwood and it's nice to have a good BBQ place and have it so close to where we reside. I've mainly been impressed everytime I've ordered but today reminded me why I'm happy I stopped in the first time. My item was not in stock and within minutes of me ordering online, the owner personally called me to ask if he could compensate me with an alternative choice. I said, I'm open to suggestions and he started giving me a few options, one of which is my go to pretty much everytime I go. The brisket Mac and cheese bowl. Absolute fire 🔥. Large pieces of brisket and very little fat. Chimi churri sauce and pico de gallo adds to the amazing flavor. When I arrived, I was greeted by the owner and he told me he threw in a few chicken tacos free of charge for my inconvenience. We did the tasting for our wedding at Maya Rosa and it was a phenomenal experience! From the moment I reached out to this company, Kendall was responsive and helpful along every step of the way. The communication, professionalism, assortment of menu options, and affordability were main indicators for us to move on to the tasting. We were politely greeted by Kendall at the tasting and got to meet the head chef/owner, Miguel who was personable and took his time to explain each dish and answer our questions. Miguel’s passion for cooking was evident. The quality, profile of the flavors, and presentation were excellent! I also like that Miguel is willing to work with us to accommodate some of our guests with food allergies. My fiancé and I are both of Caribbean descent and we do a lot of cooking so flavor and selection of ingredients are very important to us!
