My boyfriend and I drove to Chattanooga for the weekend to celebrate our anniversary - our first stop was at the Mountain Escape Spa for couples massages. Let me just say, the experience was a 10/10! I should also preface this by saying we were driving to Chattanooga from our home in Nashville, and this was our first time making the trip so we had no idea that Chatt is in a different time zone than Nashville is. We're well on our way thinking that we're going to arrive 30-45 minutes early, only to find out when the spa gave us a call that we were actually late to our appointment. We were completely flustered and apologetic and the spa owner was incredibly gracious about our mistake. We arrived 30 minutes into our appointment time, with 60 minutes still to spare, and they relaxed us and told us that they would still take us. The lesson here is that 1. if you are driving from Nashville, make sure you take the time change into account! and 2. the staff at Mountain Escape Spa is sweet, professional and very accommodating. Once we were all settled, both of us had phenomenal massages and left feeling incredible. They even gave us great recommendations for hikes with views since the surrounding area is so gorgeous. We'll likely make this an annual tradition (without the...
Read moreI booked a nice spa treatment for my mother in law for a Christmas gift. After I called the Spa to confirm the appointment they told me I had said I was no longer interested in the spa over the phone the day before. I went ahead and scheduled the appointment, approximately two weeks ahead of the date chosen, thinking this was just a mistake. After my mother in law arrived at the appointment they proceeded to claim that I did not make an appointment and there was no appointment made on her behalf and refused to fit her in any where after having bickered with the workers. They claimed since I did not remember of the name of the person I booked with that there was no appointment in place. The level of audacity they had to claim I never made an appointment after having to reconfirm the appointment because of a mistake they made, not once but twice, was insanely unprofessional and do not have the communication skills to be considered a “professional spa.” The only reason I gave them one star is because that’s the lowest I can give them. They have extremely poor customer service and should not even be on your list of spas to consider! 100% DO NOT RECOMMEND WASTING YOUR TIME...
Read moreMe and my husband were on our honeymoon, we got a spa package with where we were staying that included a couples one hour massage. My husband has had a massage before and was very pleased with his experience at the spa, unfortunately mine was not as great. Although the lady was nice once the lady got to the foot massage I kept catching her texting on her phone. They try cover your face with a towel which they tell you is for relaxation but maybe it's so you can't see your massage therapist texting on her phone. For my first massage experience I was disappointed. Upon further investigation with the receptionist I learned my therapist is one of the owners so I didn't feel comfortable letting her know about my experience so I'll leave this review and hopefully she can see it so she doesn't do it to someone else. Most people pay for a one hour massage to be pampered the whole hour. If it's your job and business I definitely didn't expect to see her texting. Anyway, the girl my husband had did a very good job he said so at least he...
