My refrigerator died on me, After checking All the big box stores within a radius of 100 miles including the rent to own stores, That’s how desperate I was, they all were very overly priced and they all said everything was back ordered and they couldn’t even get floor display models for themselves, could only give me a tentative delivery date for late October. Now, mind you, this is the middle of July 2020. My friend referred me to Dyes Appliance Sales and Service!!! I am so grateful. Mr. Dennis came through in flying colors. I got a good great wonderful used refrigerator as good if not better than if I had bought a new one. He checked it out for proper cooling and defrosting, cleaned it inside and out, delivered it the same day with warranty, at a price that’s just remarkable, and here 2 days later I’m still in awe. Mr. Dennis is a good understanding caring man, true to his word. You see, because of this COVID 19 stuff, all the appliance manufacturers have shut down, none are being made, so me myself I was in dire straits, I explained my situation he listened and pulled me through. I am grateful to have found him and his business. I am a customer for life. I am and will recommend him to all I come in contact in need of any and all appliance needs. Thank you sir, Mr. Dennis !!! Horrible, horrible experience!!!!! If I could give 0 stars I would. First of all... Let me start by saying I was told about this place by a mutual friend.. They were letting me know where I could find a used portable dishwasher. I have a three year old and he has a lot of health issues and special needs so having a dishwasher has been a long awaited dream of mine because dishes tend to pile up.. I contacted dyes appliance and was told that they did have a portable dishwasher, I ended up buying it with the only money I had at the time.. I splurged for myself because I needed it and it would be the only time I'd have that kind of extra money to spend ($150.00) so I got it. I also had to buy a $30.00 part to connect it to my sink. Long story short.. I get the dishwasher home, go to run it... And it leaks all over the floor... They assured me before i got it that it would not leak!! I said I live in an apartment and cannot have my kitchen flood!! So... It did. I asked because it looked very old. And not to mention it was dirty and had broken glass in the bottom and what looked like bugs.. So, I call back to tell them and they say they'd have a repair guy come out... I said, you told me that if I bought it I had a 90 day warranty and I could return it... They said no. That was never said.. And I said... I'm sorry sir.. But you did tell me that!! Next thing I know, the person got very mad and said I'm not a sir!!! and hung up on me. Well.. I was dumbfounded. I call back and said i don't know why your hanging up on me... I just called you sir...!? They said I was being disrespectful! .... Come to find out... It was a WOMAN. this whole time I was under the impression it was an older man that I had been talking to...the reason why i thought this, was because she had a deeper voice, and i honestly wasn't trying to be rude, and felt bad after i realized this. The guy that refered me to this place had mentioned that the owner was a MALE.... And the person who kept answering when id call said they were the owner... So... I just put two and two together and thought it was an elder man. So.. I call back and leave a message apologizing ( because she then ignored my calls ) and explaining why I thought she was a male.. and that I just want and need my dishwasher fixed if they won't refund my money... Left my number and said I'd be calling back Monday. I've been calling repeatedly, she's ignoring my calls still.. So now I have a broken dishwasher in my kitchen with musty water in it sitting here. Flooded my kitchen, And I'm out 150.00! I made it very very clear that I was a single mom with a child with special needs and really couldn't afford this but I needed one. So, Now all because she is offended that I accidentally thought she was male, shes going to ignore my calls. lol. Nice people. All I can do is say sorry for my assumption, but that's no reason at all to just disregard a customers WARRANTY! I still have a 90 day warranty, and she thinks she can just ignore me... Terrible customer service, terrible way to handle business... I didn't mean to insult her, but I am not happy that this dishwasher is broke, and wasn't happy that she lied to me saying she never said I could return it, when she did... And I wasn't happy when I got it and it was disgusting and had broken glass ( which she told me to just throw it away..) And bugs and the door stuck when you open it.( I was not able to look inside it before I bought it. ) They couldve at least wiped it out or something.. Just an all around terrible experience and from reading all the other reviews on Google and Facebook... I am not surprised at all the same negative reviews... They make themselves look very unprofessional by the way they handle business and how they responded to those other negative reviews.. I've never seen a business owner talk to a customer the way they did in their response on those reviews. LOL. Terrible. Looking like I'm going to have to call news channel five to get some kind of outcome. They at least need to know they cannot treat...

I dropped off my fridge on May 4th....for a simple compressor replacement. It is now July 2nd, and I've never gotten a call about it yet. I've tried to call there a minimum of 15 times over the past month and a half....at ALL different times of day....only to get an answering machine. I've left many messages.......no call back. ONE time I got somebody to answer.....'oh yes, I've seen your fridge back there. Let me check on it and call you right back! ME....."you have my phone number still?"....HER.."Oh yes." That was on May 14th.

Never again.

They can keep it.....I bought a better one for half of what they quoted me to fix that one!!...WHICH I BOUGHT FROM THEM IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!

Complete JOKE.

So in response to your reply..... #1.....dont take the job if you're not capable of doing it....in a timely manner. #2....I'm looking at the paper you gave me that says "call with estimate". Which you never did. #3....I could of stopped in?? Yes, and you could of returned my calls. I left messages. Very inconvenient to have to drive there (I live in Vermilion) to check on the status of my fridge because you wont answer the phone. Only to get there to see it hasn't been touched or looked at. THANK GOD I didn't leave a deposit or pay you any money. I'd be better off throwing it out of the window.

Response #2... Again....you know damn well you never called me with an estimate. The quote I got was over the phone because I already knew it was the compressor.... "but you'd need to see it to get an exact quote"....

So I brought it.....and haven't heard anything. So if you gave me a quote 2 months ago, it's fixed and ready to be picked up correct? Yea, I didn't think so.

I probably wouldn't respond again....because you're making your business look worse each time. Just an...

VERY disappointed!!! We have bought several appliances from Dye’s when it was owned by the parents. We trusted them and they had the best customer service. This was NOT the case with our last experience. This place was sold to the son who will run it into the ground if he continues selling broken items that don’t work, then... ignores phone calls & texts and when you finally do get through to have item picked up they are a no call. No show. Very frustrating when you have to take a day off work to be home and nobody shows up. They did finally refund our money and pick up the broken refrigerator after 3 weeks. We will not be purchasing from them again. I hope they clean up their act, their parents were such nice people and ran a great business for many years.

Love how you twisted everything around to your advantage. Bottom line. Ice maker did not work, could not even use the refrig because it kept blowing fuses ( the replacement refrig we bought from a new company here in Elyria works fine ) you kept blowing off any response or appointments to come pick up the refrig, and we did not demand a 500$ replacement, we asked if there was anything else comparable that you could bring us that WORKED! You said no and kept sending us pictures of expensive refrigerators And said you’d have to charge us 400$ more. My husband called your mother because she was a friend of the family, not to “cry” to her , At no time did he ask her for a 500$ refrig either, he simply asked HOW to get a response from you!
