I went in last week after work they close so early I always have to rush when I get off. I get all my meat and lunch meat get to the counter the card reader is broken. So I come back next week waited 20mins to be called at the meat line with no one assisting me and the cashier up front walked back telling me they are closed. Got my meat and 2 days later i noticed the ground beef was spoiled of course its after 6 when I'm cooking so i take it back the next day just looking for an exchange. Gregory was the manager refused to help and had a nasty attitude, he dismissed me and wasn't willing to talk and said call back tomorrow for David the meat manager, but David mentioned to me he hurt his hand a few weeks ago and would be out. I go back to purchase new ground beef and some wings, Gregory then follows me back to the meat counter from customer service and accused me of stealing my new items and yelled at me for leaving the rotten meat there. I'm guess he wanted me to take it home and put it back in my fridge.
I've been coming here all my life and choose to come here because I like to support local business and always have had a great experience here since I was child with green carpet on the floor. The people who work there are the same people we fellowship with in the neighborhood. I don't know why he would tell me to call for David, knowing he would be out and I was totally treated unfairly, even if I couldn't exchange the meat I didn't deserve to be followed and verbally harassed/accused of stealing in the process when I spend 1000's of dollars here annually not food stamps. Some people don't deserve to be in leadership positions especially if they are leaving a stain on your companies...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst off I want to start by saying ever since I moved to ohio 4 years ago I always shopped a fligners. I thought it was a nice place with friendly workers. My thoughts have completely changed after what I experienced today. I am a dasher who has been one for over two years and a year and a half top dasher. I went in today to pick up an order like usual and was told I wasnāt allowed to pick up orders from there because apparently an order was never received and they apparently are blaming me. In my time working for doordash I have NEVER been told that. To make a long story short the manager or whoever he was, was rude, wouldnāt allow me to explain to him that I never got a violation nor did a customer of mine call or complain about not getting their order. I was truly embarrassed by the situation because I am not a thief nor would I risk my job for some groceries. You have disappointed me as customer and as a worker, I have contacted doordash to escalate this because if there was an order not received doordash would contacted me or violated me (which neither was done) also the manager attempted to tell me I was already told not to pick up orders from there which I was never told by anyone except from him today! I know I have never had an order messed up from Mercados. Iām really disappointed and embarrassed by this. Also I will never shop here again needless to say. This experience was a shell shocker for me and I pray your employees and managers start to treat people better because even though Iām just one person Iām sure there are many more people who have been...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFligner's, hometown meat market used to be the best place to go. One thing Cal was known for was the customer always first. I know times have changed and COVID may have caused some changes, hard to believe since they were the only place open during the Blizzard of 78' and still the one place you can count on to be open. The reason for my low rating: you can no longer request a special cut at the deli if the meat is already precut - all there meat is precut and sitting there. Went to the meat counter two days ago and the meat looked great!. I was there 20 minutes before closing and was told my the Beef Top Sirloin Boneless could not be tenderized because the tenderizer was being cleaned for the night. I couldn't believe it. Asked the Butcher if he would tenderize my order and he said he couldn't - he wouldn't. Went to the manager and he said the same thing. My order, $20+ for 2 pieces of sirloin is a pretty penny today. I probably would have purchased 2 more for the trouble because that is what neighbors do. Fligner's was known, at one time, to take care of his customers, but lately, I see them taking advantage of our poor inner city community because the means to travel elsewhere are none - unless you have a car. No need to argue it, I couldn't believe you were selling 32oz hand sanitizer during a pandemic for $20. If your father was there this week when I was, this RAGNONI would have given an ear full. My grandmother would turn over in her grave. What happens in this story when the Fligner's are not...
