Not very friendly. Lady inside very hostile and nasty about me wearing a mask because sign on door that was tucked behind bars and you couldn't even see it said so. Told me it didn't matter I was vaccinated. Asked if she was which really set her off. She said she was, wearing a mask. Wouldn't offer me mask from huge box full on her desk. I didn't go in. Wouldn't help my husband who was masked. Said she had no info on anywhere he asked about. Really rude. No reason for it.We were not rude and nasty to her. Easy off/on from I-10, very clean restrooms, peaceful, a bit of a scenic view of the New Mexico desert. Very nice little shop, information center, and picnic areas with tables, no grills. Lovely little grassy area with garden fountain. Clean drinking water fountains. Place to fill your water jugs, which is really important when traveling in the desert!!! Maybe it’s just me, but this place has a weird vibe. Maybe it is because we are always here at twilight and there is no one here but the people in my party. Always. Just us. If I was going to film a slasher movie, it would be at the rest stop at Lordsburg. If I was traveling by myself, I would not stop here. Otherwise, it is very clean and the restroom colors are funky.
