My family used to go here to buy food all the time, as the price was fair and the produce was fresh. This time was like any other time: we bought oranges and some other things. Except...you know what we found when we got home? One of the oranges WAS ALREADY FREAKING OPEN! And it was fresh as anything, and not rotten or spoiled at all! It was clear that someone had peeled it already and eaten HALF OF IT. A foothill produce WORKER, no less! As there was no sign of tampering on the net surrounding it. Foothill should be ashamed of itself. Whoever ate part of the orange before wrapping it up to be sold to unsuspecting customers should be ashamed. More than ashamed: They should be fired! I am leaving a scathing review everywhere I can find. Foothill has just lost a loyal customer, due to it's workers' incompetence, negligence, and downright idiocy. They are selling tampered goods, thinking we wouldn't notice! This is an extreme health code violation. Imagine if a small child had eaten that half-eaten orange, because they didn't know any better! The saliva and bacteria from that worker's mouth going into the child's mouth, plus all the other germs and dirt and such that the orange had been exposed to! I urge everyone reading this to stop buying things at Foothill Produce. Who knows what kind of germs are lurking into the food! Who knows what kind of shoddy workers they hired! I am disgusted, completely and...

If you are in Los Altos, check it out for fresh produce and some European snacks and processed foods. It's located in an area with a Starbucks, and the nicest hardware store (the gentlemen who work there really go the extra mile) as well. Great service, convenient hours (we like it opens early so we can even get last minute fresh produce for breakfast) brighter atmosphere compared to it's other store Felipe's down in Sunnyvale. Even at opening, staff has a smile and says hello while they are cleaning or restocking. You have to be selective like any place, but generally the fresh herbs like mint are very fresh, and they carry fava beans, English peas, okra, etc. at better prices but similar to same quality depending on the day, compared to farmers markets. Check your expiration dates for packaged foods. On this particular morning, I was happy with my figs, mint, lychees, and cukes, but not so much with the blueberries (they were on sale, I figured they might be past their prime, took a chance, and they were), harissa tube, and Ritter chocolate which was...

The cashier told us not to bag our produce next time with produce bags if we were going to take them out of them when we were bagging them by the cashier, which we only did this time because were going to a drs appt immediately after and didnt want to ruin the produce in the car with it being double bagged and we live far away. We told them we are taking the produce bags and not leaving them behind, since we are planning to put them back in the produce bags when we got home. We told the manager(not sure?) about this and our reasoning, and his response was they would no longer give free bags for ebt purchases. I'm pretty sure bags are supposed to be free for ebt purchases anywhere you go in this state. We've never seen such sensitivity over...

I love this market. It's another branch/ store owned by Felipe's market in Sunnyvale. Parking is tight as the parking lot is shared by Trader Joe's and Rite Aid. Their produce is inexpensive!! They have a variety of cheeses, crackers, meats, organic milk, eggs, Italian pasta, sauces, flours, olive oils, honey, teas, coffee, baked goods, breads, labne, kefir, and nuts. I found a special Italian spice, dried hibiscus flower and Davidoff instant coffee on my last visit. It's a family owned business. Workers are very kind and helpful. I like shopping at Trader Joe's as well! Foothill produce has a wider selection!

The shop has a wide variety of fruits and vegetables. It might need some time to shop. Because aisles are a little bit narrow, and there are big amount of each items pile up on each sections inside and outside store. The place is busy especially on the weekend. So shoppers must like the produces they provides. And it was amazed me. I saw some items such as Amish probiotic, winter and hemi melon, and Peruvian beans which I didn't see those at another grocery stores. And it seemed here is not overpriced. Also staffs are really helpful.
