Shaheen's Department Store — Local services in Louisville

PORTLAND location... I absolutely love this store and the staff!! I go here at least once a week. They have layaway and every size I need for everyone in my family. However my 5stars and great review does not pretain to the Breckenridge location.. I have been there twice the first time the staff is just rude and I felt as if I wasn't welcome to shop there like my money wasn't good enough for them.. after about a month I thought about it and thought maybe I was just over reacting so I visited the Breckenridge location again only to confirm that what I had felt before was excatly correct. I had selected socks to buy and went on to look at some other things and the lady approached me telling me that she needs the socks to take them to the counter to wait for me to check out I ask why haven't you taken thoes people's sock are you assuming I am going to steal them? She immediately brushed it off and smiling saying no no no it is just our policy I replied again.. so why haven't you taken thoes people's socks to the counter? She walked back to the other employee and begin to talk quitly amongst themselves.. I felt like I was being stereotyped or labeled after makeing my selection and purchase I left the store and have not and will not return to that...

I arrived maybe twenty minutes before closing, so there were no other shoppers. I immediately noticed that the store's layout was more spacious and less crowded and cluttered. I guess less is more. The store was clean and I was greeted when I entered the store. I knew what I wanted, five pair of Dickies blue 29/32 work pants. They had my size; I was happy about that. It had been three years since I had been there. I get my work slacks from there. I like the men's pants for added room. I don't shop there otherwise. The employees and I had our mask on and there was a divider at the cash register. It's a good place for work slacks and they do have other clothing items....

Excellent selection for work place attire, especially the work boots and other shoes. Really, the shoe selection is incredibly vast. As far as their clothes go, very good selection for men's and women's work clothing, as well as a decent school uniform selection, and they have toddler and baby stuff, too. The prices were a bit steep, but that's probably because they sell name brand items mostly. They also have hats, and clearance items, and dressing rooms. The employees were friendly...
