This is the best Community Market location by far. This is also the best grocery store in the area to get produce (Their bosc pears are THE BEST, hands down) The Giant Eagle pharmacy in this store is the best one of all of THEIR chain's locations. The bakery here is lovely, and we have fond memories of "the cookie lady" who would let us have sugar sprinkle cookies as kids (though she kept it up anytime I was with my younger siblings as an older teen) The employees work hard here, and everything is cleaned and well maintained. The store is usually bustling, which I think is a good sign that this is a solid store. Miss their floral section, but understand that it's not as lucrative as the pharmacy. All in all, this is a great store and definitely one of the better businesses in Lower Burrell. Little pricey in some areas, but just be mindful and you're good ☺️

Not exactly community markets fault but someone should be at fault for this. There was a screw in my fettuccine, it was from Food Club brand. A broken screw!!!!!!! Obviously not from my pans as I have shown here. That could have really hurt someone.

Super clean store and friendly customer service. Best lunch meat around and best bakery. I order all my cakes from here!

Community Market is a great place to go if you want to "shop locally," as opposed to the big chain markets. The owners are local, and have been in business for 90 years or so. They operate three stores in our local area (Lower Burrell, Natrona Heights and Penn Hills), and have recently opened one in the Bloomfield area of Pittsburgh.

Despite being an "independent" market, their prices are competitive, and selection is good. The aisles are spacious. The deli is well stocked, with a much larger selection of meats and cheeses than usual for a store their size. They've recently added a pharmacy.

The staff there is helpful and friendly, and when the store gets busy, they always manage to find a couple people to open up extra registers. It's very rare to spend much time in a checkout line, even when the store is crowded.

I don't know what else a customer could want. I've never been to the Penn Hills or Bloomfield stores, but the ones in Lower Burrell and Natrona Heights are excellent. I recommend Community Market highly.

(Edit) They have recently installed 4 self-service registers. Unless you are looking at 20 minutes in line for a cashier, avoid the self-service registers like one would avoid standing on the beach as a Cat 4 hurricane approached. They simply are more trouble than...

One of the worst grocery stores I have ever been in. Let me describe my last 2 visits. I was getting cheese from the deli, the person working went to slice my cheese on the same machine that was just used for meat, without cleaning it. I was told this was my only choice. Not wanting meat on my cheese, I declined getting cheese. Last visit I was scolded for forgetting to put the little bar between my groceries and the person in front of me. I had 3 items, and the person in front of me had about 6. The employees in this store seem to feel inconvenienced when helped customers. Yesterday will probably be my last visit.

Update. 9/19/22, 6pm I decided to give them another chance. The young kid in the deli was great. But the older woman in the self checkout was unfriendly. This store needs to get rid of the older staff, they are the ones that are not helpful, ...
