Let me tell you about our fishing trip For Peacock Bass with Captain Skip.

My friend Bubba loves to fish, Wanted to add Peacock Bass to his list.

It was last month when I got the news That Bubba had a week of vacation To used or lose.

Hillsboro Beach is where I live From Sanford Florida to my house, It’s a four hour drive down 95 South.

Bubba had no idea that were going Peacock Bass Fishing when he got here.

I called Bass & Exotics Charters That operated on Lake Park Ida’s Water , Left Captain Skip a message on his phone He called me back and it didn’t take long.

He said Cliff bass fishing is what I do, I can help you make Bubba’s wish come true.

On August the 1st at 7:00 o’clock, We met Captain Skip at the dock. After the introduction & safety rules He started the boat and we were on the move. It wasn’t long before we reached the spot He cut the motor & the boat stopped.

Captain Skip was eager to assist In trying to help us catch some fish, He pointed out the best places to cast To catch some of those Peacock Bass. He kept happy bait on our lines And we were catching Peacock Bass in no time.

I will always remember that Look, When Bubba caught the first Peacock Bass on his hook.

For all the fish, experience, and fun We had, $325.00 wasn’t even bad. I don’t know if Peacock Bass are Good to eat because my agreement, With Captain Skip was to catch & release.

I had a great experience w Capt. Skip. I had flown down to Florida for my sister’s baby shower in September. I have always wanted to get into some peacock bass when visiting being from New England, and would even say they were a bucket list species for me as an avid angler. I got even more excited when I learned clown knife fish were also in the area. So I managed to squeeze in a trip w Capt. Skip, and was not disappointed at all. He was definitely a great sport when I told him my very pregnant sister wanted to join us (after putting him at ease that she still had a ways to go and wouldn’t be having a baby on board, lol). He shows up on time w plenty of live bait and puts us right onto the peacocks, with everyone bringing them into the boat, even some double hook ups, it was so much fun. Then, after a bit he asked if we wanted to sit w the peacock blitz or go chase for some clown knife fish. I was after the trifecta of largemouth, peacocks and clown knife fish….so I said let’s go for the clowns. We had a clown on for everyone at one point but we each lost them, and then with just 10 mins left, I got to land my first clown knife fish. We got the trifecta that day and had one of the best days ever. Wow! My 13 year old son and I had the best fishing day of our lives with Skip at Bass and Exotics Charters. If I could rate a 10 star, I would. We spent 6 hours with Skip and caught over 70 fish. Actually, it was probably more, we lost count. But, I have loads of pictures. We had bites or hooked another 20, or more. It was ridiculous! Skip put us on the fish. 12 Clown Knife, 30 Peacock Bass, 5 Largemouth Bass, 20 Sunshine Bass, 2 Gar, and 1 Mayan Cichlid. I'm probably forgetting some. Skip was freaking awesome! He was so helpful and stayed super busy, teaching us about the area, the fish, and provided tips and tricks too. There was not a time when our lines were not baited and in the water! I was amazed by his skill and knowledge. I soaked in everything I could. I highly highly recommend Skip and Bass and Exotics Charters!
