I went there filled out a application and done everything right and was told by Lynn I was denied and Kayla said everything was perfect talked with Mike he held me in the office delaying me from going to Kurth then turn around and denied me only because I didn't have a vet I've never owned a dog or adopted a dog she was for the family and my child has brain damage and took a liking to the dog I went to the animal control and they told me that this company was horrible and not good and that they have problems with them also. And in the process Mike the director was rude and even agreed with me that the application was wrong and there wasn't nothing wrong with me adopting but he was mad cause I asked animal control the procedure which they said this company is prejudice I never thought that but when told by a animal police I was done here and feel like anyone donation should be sent to animal control the dog is the one hurting here and a child that is brain damage I was very baffled about this and wish anyone to help me find the proper channels to make a concern statement from myself and the animal control officers as well they are in agreement on reporting them but they are with holding information about this non profit organization.. Please help me get to the right person and to whom ever adopt here please please think twice they are really doing this go look at their page and notice who they only have adopted to..... Not mad just want to know why are people so...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIād give them 0 stars if I could! Awful. The adoption decision makers there are not good at all.We were told we couldnāt have a dog because our dog is small and the adopted dog will be big and they donāt want a big dog living with small dog then be told after a lot of complaints that itās now āokā to have him.... Iām pretty sure small dogs have lived fine with big dogs ever since God made them. Is there a big dog and small dog rivalry beef that Iām not aware of? Maybe the big dog has too many belongings and will take up too much room, forcing the smaller dog to live out on the streets, dancing for treats to make ends meet. Maybe the big dog (all 45-50lbs. he would end up being) learned Karate and killed the little dog. Makes total sense right? Why they canāt live together. Iām pretty sure these are questions going through the adoption staffās mind when making decisions up there. Winnie Berryās adoption staff lacks common sense in determining a dogās placement then how are they allowed to oversee their care?
The girls that LITERALLY take care of the dogs are fantastic and love those animals up there. If you somehow answer the riddle from the troll under the bridge correctly or get struck by lightning twice in one day and manage to get a dog, itās at least been given the most love and attention from the girls...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe got our sweet Lil boy from here & let me say he was the perfect match. The staff is extremely helpful in every way. They took the time to answer everyone of my questions as well as asking their coworkers the same questions which results in having many point of views. It's refreshing to have a stuff who fully communicate with each other & work so hard to give you every answer they can provide to make sure you know that the animal is the...
