I loved this store when it was Teals. I came into sunshine a couple weeks ago around 5:30. There were 3 cashiers standing at their registers on their phones. Super unprofessional. Everytime I have come into this store I have never been greeted as I walk in, I've never been asked if I needed help finding anything. Their produce is always going bad. Whenever they have their "deals" the food goes bad within a week. The workers would rather gossip with each other than do their jobs or clean the front area or zone items. I will say the best time to go here is in the first few hours they open up. A lot of the older workers are very kind and you'll at least get a friendly smile from them. Dollar general has better customer service. The kwiktrip has better produce and customer service too. The doors here are always malfunctioning. They either open up too fast so keep your distance or they open way to slow. So good luck getting in if you are handicapped or you'll leave handicapped by the doors. Pretty much everything in this store is way overpriced. You'll save more money driving 30min either way, worthington or sioux falls, to a walmart where you'll at least be greeted, won't get smacked by an automatic door, more fairly priced items, and better looking produce. I've said my peace,...
Read moreI have always enjoyed coming to this store the workers are pleasant and friendly. But today I was shocked. I was picking out breakfast for my children after getting off work in the morning and there where two ladies in the Bakery yelling at each other about not wanting to do there job and not being in their job description and next time they need to be texted if something needs to be done? Who ever they were mad about one lady said she could do it herself. I understand having a dispute and having a lot on your plate but to yell about it when customers are around is Unprofessional. It made me very uncomfortable as a customer and I wasn’t the only customer who was off put by the yelling. Even one of their own coworkers looked extremely...
Read moreI do appreciate their vegan selection. For a small-ish business in a tiny town they have a decent variety. They have vegan butter, vegan bagels, vegan sugar, potato starch, coconut flour, etc. They have Larry and Lenny vegan cookies as well (in the hygiene aisle (that location doesn't make sense to me either)). Some vegan frozen food options too. Their option for the less ingredient/not major processed stuff is wider than I would expect if you're one to read the labels.
I'm sure they'd be happy to order some stuff to if it were requested.
Just make sure to check the dates on everything you're buying, vegan or not.
This store is expensive. I can often times find things for $3+ cheaper...
