Canteen — Local services in Madison

They put vending machines on college campuses and then refuse to give students back their money on the machines eat it. I spent at least 3 hours being repeatedly given incorrect destinations and having to find the next step myself. They told me they will send me money at PayPal and they didn't.

They sent me a check that I could direct deposit, It wouldn't. I took that check printed to the bank I told them I didn't want to have to go to and they told me it looks like scam. I'm a broke busy student and I wasted so much time just trying to get my soda money back. This company is trash.

If you like horrible over priced cheeseburgers and literally nothing else this is the vending service for you. They seem to hate the idea of selling food so I assume they throw the stuff away and use it as a tax write off or something because what they don't do is stock foods based on what people actually buy and certainly not what they ask for. Don't even bother trying with these vending machines. None of the ones of my campus for drinks work, in the two years I've been at this campus. The snack ones are iffy, sometimes they are empty for a while (weeks) with a specific item and if not empty then the snack gets stuck and you dont get refunded. Seems like they don't really care...
