Fly-by night operation that does not stand by its work - uniquely unprofessional, and I feel like I've been scammed. I paid $700 in August for a new ice maker and freezer seal after they convinced us that would solve the problem. However, after four months, the ice maker once again froze over, and Kirch wanted to charge us $130+ just to come LOOK at the ice maker THEY recently installed. Kirch advised that they are essentially absolved of any responsibility because the parts are only guaranteed for 90 days... I guess we can assume their WORK is only guaranteed for 90 days too?! This morning, they did not show up to the scheduled appointment at our house after we waited several hours for them, and they did not call to let us know they are no longer willing to provide service to us - presumably after reading our negative Google review. They rudely hung up on me when I called to inquire if they were still going to come today. Save your time and money, and support another, more ethical local business.

I dropped off my old A/C unit which was >45 yrs old, yet still working. I was told it probably was so inefficient it wouldn't be worth fixing, and to get a new one. Parker and Christian were both super helpful on their phone center, and said they have a truck come to haul off A/C units and other appliances which are beyond useful service life. The parts are recycled as much as can be, to add life to the flow of raw materials that feed our economy. To top it off, Christian approached me as I wrote this 5* review in my car, before dropping off the unit, and asked if I was the one who just called to drop off an older A/C unit. I said 'yes' & he offered to carry it to their garage for me, to be recycled. Which he did, with a broad smile. How great is that for vehicle to shop service?

unethical and dishonest. Spend your money elsewhere. This company sold my partner a used dryer that never functioned for more than 6 months at a time. When they came to ‘fix’ again and the warranty was nearly done, they eventually conceded it was dead and replaced it with one of ‘equal value’

As a first time homeowner, we did buy a lower end budget dryer without any smart features. But, we went to a ‘trusted’ appliance company for the purchase and servicing all the way through. This isn’t a Craigslist dryer.

When THAT replacement dryer went out (within a year of purchase), they came to replace the heating unit and we paid out of pocket—but only after shelling out for two total visits, as the first one they blamed the electricity and said to get an electrician. We paid the electrician to confirm nothing is wrong with the outlets before Kirsch came back again to actually fix the dryer.

That dryer breaks within six months. We call. The technician comes out and says that the dryer is so old that he doesn’t recommend replacing parts/working on it anymore as it would be a waste of money.

I think it’s important to call out that the technician said this. About a dryer that they sold us two years ago. Probably a discarded/older dryer that they were paid to haul away from a richer home in the first place.

So after a 90 second visit, he says he’ll come upstairs to have me pay the $120 technician fee for coming on site. I said this seemed unfair if he didn’t do any work, and he was ‘diagnosing’ on an appliance sold to us recently.

When I spoke to someone on the phone later, he basically suggested it was our fault for choosing an older dryer (from them! They chose this dryer and placed it in our home!)

After a conversation where I said I didn’t think this bill was fair, which I had said in the upfront when the technician was scheduled (because it was related to the same problem they fixed before, we’ve never had a working dryer for more than 6 months at a time), I was sent a bill today that says “Client declined service because they didn’t want to put more money into it.” This is a complete lie, I would have been happy to pay for a fix, the technician recommended against work.

Overall, we were completely screwed over for hundreds of dollars over 3 years and would recommend going out of your way to avoid...

Wow! Just wow...My elderly mother ordered a part. The part arrived and she was advised it was in, so she could come pick it up. The part was picked up and taken home. It ended up being the wrong part, but was obviously not checked before it was sent out the door. My mother called to report it being the wrong part and was told that she would would have to come all the way back into the shop for the exchange. Not to mention, he didn't want to return to measure for the correct piece because he didn't want to make an extra trip!!!! This very much upset her. I called the shop to find out if they would be willing to drop off the part, since it was their mess-up and they do make house-calls. Ted told me that wrong parts are commonly sent to them and that it wasn't their fault. Oh but it is Ted. It is because you called to say the part was in before checking to see if the it was the correct part. If it happens that commonly, don't you think you would check ahead of time? You are the responsible party. This is how customer service works. He then went on to say that there would be an $89 delivery fee. I asked if someone could just drop off the new piece and pick up the old on their way to another job, since it wasn't a piece that was needed immediately. He wouldn't even help her. I'm angry, disappointed and saddened. I expect this out of a corporate company, which is why i decided to support a small business. Boy was mistaken. I will be making a visit to them when I return to WI. This is not a threat, I just don't want any other in-need person to be taken advantage of, this is not the time. This is the...

Today October 6, 2021 after having waited for my refund for almost two week, I received a check in the mail with less money than what I was supposed to receive. Let's do the math… I paid this company called KIRCH APPLIANCES INC. $653.05 and my refund was for $466.31 so obviously they do not return the delivery charge $-59.00 dollars (even though the washer machine that they delivered was broke) here we have a balance of $594.05 plus they charge me for having them to return to my house and pick up the washer and dryer for another $-59.00 leaving a balance of $535.05 less tax charges are another $-24.31 leaving my refund on the amount of $510.74 So there is an amount of $44.43 that is not explained on my receipt. Today I went in person with my boyfriend to see why that additional charge was and the owner's son could not do the math in front of us, so he threw my boyfriend and me out of his place threatening to call the police on us. This is not the first time this company has treated its customers horribly. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND YOUR MONEY ON THEM if you want to be treated with respect better look for another business HERE they steal your money and treat clients less than a human being.
