From my experience, Inner Fire Yoga is a great hot yoga studio. Although I learned hot yoga is not for me, the studio and staff were excellent. I attended their open house for one session of Inner Fire Flow 75 at their west location. Before the class, I received email and text reminders of class, their policies, and what to bring. It was very helpful - especially since I had never been to this studio or a hot yoga class before. There was ample parking available at no charge. The studio is located in a sort of shopping center/business center; yet there was plenty of signage when in the parking lot so I had no trouble finding it. When I arrived, staff were there to greet me with a friendly smile and warm welcome. It was a very calm and lovely arrival. The instructor was in the lobby introducing himself which made me feel more comfortable as well. The studio was very clean and well organized. The bathroom/shower/changing room was a bit small but was clean and usable. Bags and personal items outside of the mat, towel, and water bottle were asked to be left outside the room in either the changing room or lobby; however there are no lockers. The scent of the facility was mild to moderate depending on the space and had an aromatherapy natural fragrance to it that was very peaceful. The energy of the studio, staff, and fellow patrons was one of respect. I felt that everyone there was very conscious and genuine with being respectful of each other. I interacted with multiple staff but no other patrons. The class was led with intention and purpose. The instructor was clearly knowledgeable and professional. He walked around during the class instead of having a demo station up front. It was a full class so the room was definitely looking at capacity. There was no shame when I had to leave the room during session to cool off. There was also only kindness when I decided that hot yoga is not for me. The staff offered other class options and tips if I wanted to try again. The offer was made in a manner that was kind and encouraging without judgement or pressure. They also were very supportive and helpful to ensure I was safe and not overheated or sick. If hot yoga is for you or if you want to try it out, I highly recommend...
Read moreI've done yoga on and off for many years (mostly off). Recently, I decided to give heated yoga a try. Since I am not very flexible, I thought the heat will help warm up my muscles faster. I started with Inner Fire Yoga because they have these amazing offers through Groupon. I used their Groupon offers for the first couple of months. Then I decided to join as a member. I've been going there for 3 months now and love it. I like the fact that membership commitment is not very long (2 months minimum), so if I ever change my mind I just have to give them two weeks notice. This is far better than other gyms. The teachers have been welcoming and encouraging. I don't feel that people are judgmental. I am able to go at my own pace. Their class schedule work very well for me. I am able to go to 3 to 4 of the classes that I like each week. The only reason why I give a 4 star rather than 5 is that sometimes the room can be smelly especially when you enter the room after another class just finish. My suggestion is that in between classes a staff should go in the rooms to spray some essential oil or air freshener to freshen up the room. Also, some classes (such as Hot Yoga) can have crowded. The Slow Flow classes I take are fine, just the right number of students and still have room to spread out. All in all, I am glad to have try Inner Fire Yoga and am looking forward to continue my...
Read moreI have been part of the inner fire yoga community on and off since 2015 or so. I have tried multiple yoga studios all over Madison- first month trials, student discounts, new yoga studios, etc. However, there is no yoga studio like inner fire. They have the friendliest staff and their instructors are not only knowledgeable but also very approachable. I have learned A LOT since I started practicing with them. You can find classes from easy and relaxing to very challenging. They have 2 studios - East and West side. When I started this journey, I wasn’t even able to touch my feet! Now I feel healthier, stronger and more flexible. Plus- this studio has also helped with my mental health - I have been told by loved ones that when I have stopped practicing, I am more irritable. :)
If you have not tried this studio yet, I highly recommend it. You won’t go to other studios.. try some hot 90 yoga for something challenging or Yin for something relaxing. I love Claire’s, Dar, and Wesley’s classes. I have brought multiple friends to practice with me and they are all now members. Love the studios, the energy and the staff. I’ll def continue practicing as...
