Great experience. We were SUV hunting from 8am. We had almost given up. We were sitting in a restaurant around 2pm and my friend looked so defeated. She was ready to buy a car but the Central Texas area was not in our favor that day. I couldnt stand it. While in the restaurant I told my friend, "I'm finding you a vehicle." She and my other friend looked at me like I was crazy. My friend knew exactly what she wanted; a black Dodge Durango Citadel with tan interior, sunroof and whatever else; basically the works. We had found 1 in Waco but the price was outrageous and well the way it was proposed was not too pleasing. So as soon as I get on Google the 1st dealer came up; Henson Dodge in Madisonville, TX. I called. Salesman Gary got on the phone. So we all know car salesman are, well, not considered the most likable. Gary was different. He had Texas kindness. Although photos of the vehicle were on the website I asked him to take photos and text me. You may say that's stupid; frankly I wanted to see how he would handle my request. Kind and prompt Gary was. I told him we are in Waco. How long to Madisonville and where is Madisonville? Google to the rescue again and he said we'll be here until you get here. I told my friend, "This is the vehicle. Let's go to Madisonville." Gary had it cleaned and waiting up front. We negotiated, and let me say that was the most pleasant negotiation of a car I have ever done. I'm using pleasant, negotiation, car in the same sentence. Miracle, yes miracle. And on top of it, great, great, great deal. And it was the exact vehicle my friend wanted and had even more than what we had looked at in Waco. Also, we test drove, negotiated and purchased within 3 hours; pretty amazing! We also found out that owner of Henson owns several of the other dealerships in Madisonville, TX. So if you want a kind, decent human aka car salesman ask for Gary @ Henson Dodge in Madisonville, TX. We have a son graduating college in 2 years, we're calling Gary @ Henson when it's car buying time again or unless I want a new Lincoln SUV before š, because that little mushroom making town(Gary also gave us a small driving tour of the town) has several car dealers by...

We called on a Friday evening and spoke with a junior salesman. We committed to the vehicle. We offered to pay a deposit to hold. The next day (Saturday ) my wife spent the day taking to the finance manager and they both decided that our credit union rates were much better than what they could offer. We contacted our credit union first thing Monday morning and her and the finance manger spoke multiple times closing the details. My wife and I have excellent credit so things went smoothly. We received a text from our salesman saying that someone else was interested and what was the situation with our financing. We immediately called our bank and they said they had wired the money 10 minutes ago and it would show immediately. We also received a bill of sell via email. We received texts from Jeep saying ācongratulationsā. About 5 hours later we received a call from the assistant manager stating that the Jeep was sold this evening. He claimed that our salesman and the finance manager told him that we still had not committed. We explained to him that we have verification that they had received the wire transfer and he confirmed that as well. He persisted in the narrative that it was a miscommunication and his fellow employees didnāt give him correct info. He confirmed that the vehicle was still on the lot and that the other buyers had just simply signed paperwork. From what we gathered he must have been the one making the other sell and he didnāt want to give it up. He also clearly was throwing his employees under the bus. He continued to tell us that there was nothing he could do to remedy the problem and he refused to answer our question of why we were the ones losing out and not the other buyer. I have bought new vehicles all over the country and this was absolutely the worst experience we have ever had. The worst part was that this was a gift to my wife and it had everything she wanted. Take my advice and stay clear of this organization because they are either completely dis functional...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBEWARE OF THIS DEALERSHIP Since the new owners took over they have been nothing but awful! You can really tell the hensonās donāt own this anymore. Iām writing this to warn everyone about this dealership. Iāve always done business locally and chose Henson because I heard good things. Boy was I wrong. Iāve owned my jeep for about 2 years now and Iāve had to have it serviced by them multiple times for the same issue. Iāve had a constant issue with my motor overheating and every time itās done it Iāve brought it to them. They changed multiple parts and at one point called me after months of it being in the shop to tell me my radiator hose is dry rotted and collapsing; only for me to show up to get my vehicle to have the mechanic come up to me and apologize for poking a hole in the hose. THEN tried to sell me a new one. Now Iāve come back for the 3rd time this year from it overheating and they tell me oh yeah man! We will make sure this is taken care of. Well they call my warranty company to tell them whatās broken and itās of course the same parts they already replaced so the warranty wonāt cover it. So they beat around the bush and try to get the parts covered for free in other ways of course. That didnāt work so now they have told me I have to replace the entire engine and they arenāt gonna cover it! Come to find out they have had my motor open to the elements and rain has gotten all in my motor so now itās hydro locked! I now have to look elsewhere to get a new motor which will cost me thousands. To think I really went out of my way for this dealership only because theyāre local and I wanted to support them. Do better Henson. Sincerely, A very unhappy customer. (Attached are several pictures from different days of my jeep sitting in the rain. It has a vented hood so the water just goes right through. Covered in rust and...
