Good but not great.
My sister had said that they did really good piercings here and I had looked up the shop to see if they did tattoos to which they did! I was excited, because they were closer to my house from my last tattoo shop that I went too. This is my second tattoo.
I got to the shop early because I am an early bird and like to get to places on time. When I got there it was closed around 5:00, so I walked down to the library to get out of the heat because it’s hot and then came back once the library was closed. My appointment was at 6:30
At 6:00 it still seemed like the place was closed. So I waited 15 minutes before I texted my artist Arlene at 6:16 saying I was here for my tattoo. They said they were on their way which I was happy. Around 6:24 they called to say they were late due to traffic with ducks. I said ok and I was just excited for my tattoo. I wait for them to get settled and we talk about how my tattoo will look. They sketched up the tattoo and we go through a couple designs before I am happy with what they drew. This got around to around 7 ish.
We go back to their booth and everything is fine. They chatted with other artists and spoke about their daughter who seemed very sweet. Tattooing didn’t start until like 8 but tattoos always tickled to me and I didn’t mind waiting. Once the tattoo was finished I was happy.
However, I am very used to using second skin and am still a bit nervous about washing my tattoo daily with the old school method. The tattoo artist stated they had forgotten to pick up the second skin that day so it couldn’t have been helped that I had to do it the old school way. Nonetheless, I got my tattoo and am happy since they are ladybugs, but looking at it more closely the legs seem a bit off and aren’t very uniform to how they should be.
I am still happy with my tattoo and probably would go back, but I am a little hesitant as the experience wasn’t as fluid as I would have enjoyed it to be and my ladybugs aren’t as “perfect” as they could be. I am still happy don’t get me wrong, but I would have enjoyed it a lot more if I had gotten a second skin and things had moved more on time and smoothly.
Here is what my tattoo looked like on Sunday as of writing this post. I got my...
Read moreUnfortunately I have to give a one-star review the owner has a tendency to try to slander other owners and when trying to rectify the situation he avoids them. If he would like to rectify the situation I'd be more than happy to change this score but until then I would hope that people understand and realize what Derek does as a business owner in place of just handling his business. Unfortunately I've been dealing with this as he has spent his entire morning trying to slander my name within my community not even his, by utilizing public Facebook pages anonymity and blocking me after I offered for him to come take a look at our facility as a responsible business owner would do. If he is the advocate for piercing in magna obviously we need to get his approval for us to be in...
Read moreMy friend and I are on a 3 week road trip that we’ve been planning for 4 years and wanted to commemorate it with a piercing. I found Blue Lotus on google and decided to give it a shot. Derek is the one that ended up doing both our piercings. We came in not sure what ear piercing we wanted and Derek was super helpful in us deciding. He was professional, welcoming and friendly and made the experience as comfortable and painless as possible. He was very knowledgeable and gave us all the information we needed for aftercare, when to change the jewelry and what to get, as well as helping me with a previous piercing in which I hadn’t been given all the information I needed. 100% recommend for anyone looking to get a piercing even if you aren’t sure exactly...
