Unfortunately the customer service experience this evening was less than desirable and I would leave no stars if I could. We often order online and are used to the kitchen being behind and having to wait for over an hour for our delivery. The food is absolutely worth it.
Tonight took the cake, though, and has ruined our other positive experiences. After waiting over an hour, we received a call from their employee to tell us that our web order had not been checked or pushed over from the website, and that the wait from this point would be two hours. I was annoyed and to make matters worse the woman argued with me regarding how long we had already waited. I didn't mind the fact that they were calling, but I did not appreciate the combative nature of the employee. I had lost my patience with her and told her to cancel my order and tried to ask about our online payment. She continued to talk over me, so I asked to speak with a manager and she hung up the phone. I did call back at this point furious. I got her again, of course, and asked immediately to speak with a manager. She had changed her tune and was incredibly happy and accommodating, before placing me on hold she told me: 'You better learn some respect or I will hang up on you again".
I am appalled at this behavior. First and foremost, I was not confrontational initially but after that level of combativeness I found myself at a 10. I was annoyed, absolutely, after waiting over an hour to be told that I would have to wait another two hours for my food, but I was not disrespectful. But to be treated this way by an employee is unacceptable and frankly rather disrespectful. I never used profanity or frankly raised my voice any point during either conversation, even when she scolded me before getting her manager.
The assistant manager, Rachel, was who I spoke to next and she was incredibly kind and apologetic. I explained my frustration and anger with the customer service, and she said she would inform the manager tomorrow. I hope she follows through with this. While talking with her she was able to explain that my card had not been ran yet, which was my only question in the first place. Even with Rachel's kindness, I will not be ordering here again. Which is unfortunate since we tend to order from Da Ming at least 2-3 times a month. Their food is great, we love it! But one experience can ruin...

The final time and deal breaker for us it took them 2 hours to deliver. We called them and complained that we have children that would like to eat. Their response was “well you just live down the road why don’t you come get it” excuse me?! Don’t offer a delivery service if you don’t deliver. Their customer service is the worst I’ve ever known. We were then told it was being cooked as we spoke. 30 min later it was finally delivered. Of course our food was all stone cold! Literally they could have run our order down the street and delivered it piping hot still. When we first moved here and ordered their food it tasted great, came fresh and hot, and was quick.
