HQ for the NY-NJ Trail Conference involved in maintaining, protecting, and building new hiking trails in the region. Good source for maps and other trail information. There is a short trail that starts from this location. You can volunteer to be a trail maintainer and for other...

From spring to fall (usually April to October) Its open from Monday to Saturday. You can buy maps, gear and even a bottle of water if you're going to hike next door at the reservation. You can even get a tour of the old schoolhouse.
