Berrie Center — Attraction in Mahwah

I wanted to focus on the good things Ramapo College had to offer. The Berrie Center is the place visual art students spend most of their time at. Ramapo has many renowned art galleries on campus. Students and staff often have art gallery events at the Pascal & Kresge gallery located on the second floor of the Berrie Center. My deciding factor to enroll at this college was how they had career connections. Also, how organized the Photography Studio Lab was. It’s supervised by a really good lady and even has its own computer lab. Then students also have access to a photography studio which was an amazing place to learn, work, and grow at. As a visual art student I didn’t have much involvement with the performing arts here. But, I did meet many drama students and almost auditioned for a show once. Overall, this place was a very laid back atmosphere and a unique asset to Ramapo College. I have had Ivy League school alumni try to put me down for not going to a real art school. So, I did want to make awareness of the Berrie Center and what it offered me. There is one bad seed though at the Art department and it’s unfortunate for Ramapo College. Looking back today I don’t regret standing up for myself with toxic staff. But if I had stayed silent I would’ve had a career as they were in charge of the jobs and internships. She only goes after the best and the brightest. The Berrie Center offers good amenities and everything so it might be worth it despite the negatives to go here? You just have to be really sophisticated to deal with the toxic players which is really only one loser. They will damage your relationships with other staff to try to show power. It’s all about control I am not sure why the college allows this person to harm students success? My transfer college warned me about her said don’t let them ruin a good career just ignore her. In 2010 she got the college an almost 200k grant. Her bitterness bleeds through and it’s a stain on the college. It’s not fair to students to deal with her abuse. I was exempt from her courses after she harassed me several times on campus. I will add photos of the art gallery these were taken March 12, 2020 the day before the pandemic shutdown everything. I felt so bad for this alumni student her exhibit looked amazing. There are two rooms inside the art gallery which provide the space for students to have their senior thesis group exhibit art...

The Berrie Center was where I spent my college life here at Ramapo. I slept overnight in at least three of the labs while working on finals.

This facility is very modern, and extremely well-kept. I had access to everything I needed for my classes, whenever I needed it.

What an amazing venue for a musical event!! My wife and I brought our 5 year old son to see the Okee Dokee Brothers perform and we had a great time!
