I had a small stone from a holy place in India that I got like 23-years ago. One day it struck me, "Why don't I try to put this stone into a ring?" If I were in India it would be a fairly easy and inexpensive process to do this, but I didn't know what the options would be here in America. So I went to Google and typed in "custom rings New Jersey". One of the first search results was Jewelry Design Gallery in Manalapan. I went to their website and read up about their custom jewelry process. I felt like this would be the prefect place to get this ring made. After reading the reviews I was even more convinced this was the place, as all of the reviews were super positive and glowing. So I filled out their online inquiry form and waited.

A couple of days later I was contacted by Drew and we began a back and forth conversation about what I was trying to create. I didn't know if the stone would hold up to being ground and polished into a cabochon. So Drew told me I could bring it in and they would do a no-cost analysis on the stone. So shortly after I stopped in and met Drew in person. He was very warm, friendly and professional. It was a pleasure meeting him. I felt confident in leaving this stone there with him that it would be safe and everything would be fine.

About a week later I heard back from Drew that their cutter said the stone could be cut and shaped and polished into a cabochon. I was thrilled with this news! So I went back to the store to then begin the process of designing the actual ring. I just wanted something really simple, so it was an easy and straight-forward process. I gave Drew some photo examples and he took some notes and got my finger measurement. He told me it would take about three-weeks to get the ring.

Of course no one knew a global pandemic was heading our way! So this of course threw the time frame way off course. My ring was now in a limbo and I was uncertain when I would be able to get it. Drew kept me informed about their developments and plans. After some weeks went by I had kind of forgotten about the ring (given that there were so many things going on with the virus). I then received a text from Drew saying the ring was ready and that I could either pick it up curbside or they could deliver it FedEx. I opted with the FedEx delivery and because I'm so close to the store I received it the next day.

When I opened the box I was so excited to see the final product. The stone was cut and polished beautifully! And the simple, silver setting was perfect! The band width, dimensions and design were exactly as we had discussed at the store. There was a small issue with the fit. I may have lost some weight, as now the ring size we decided upon at the fitting is too big and the ring slides/falls off my finger. But being the kind and professional person that Drew is he told me it was no problem to re-size it. He said it would normally only take a few minutes in the store, but obviously because of the lockdown restrictions he would have to take it to his designer and I could get it back in a few days. He said it was no problem that I could keep bringing it back and resizing it until it was perfect and exactly how I wanted it. I'll be dropping the ring off tomorrow and I have no doubt it will be professionally and wonderfully taken care of.

Jeweler Design Gallery helped make the perfect engagement ring for my fiancé. From the moment I stepped into the store Drew, Tyler and Al went over the top to make sure this was a fluid process and to ensure our dream ring became a reality.

On my first visit I sat down with Drew and showed him pictures of rings I had seen and liked. He was extremely patient, taking as much time as I needed to show me similar rings, enhance my ideas and provide further design options. We ended up going with an oval stone, single halo and a very elaborate gallery (something I had never seen before). They then created a digital design of the ring and showed me a picture of what it would look like. Then they did a 3D print of the design so I was able to hold the designed ring and see exactly what I would be getting from all angles. I actually broke the 3D printed ring and they whooped up a new one in a day with no questions asked.

They've been in constant contact with me throughout the process emailing me updates regularly. When I was called in to pick out a diamond, they had 12 that matched the weight and quality I requested. Drew explained what to look for in a diamond and allowed me to scrutinize each diamond to my liking. We discussed how much I was able to spend and Drew helped maximize the value of the ring (we even stayed under budget!) When I received the finished ring I was blown away, it exceeded my expectations. The 3D print and digital picture couldn't even do it justice. My fiancé still can't believe how amazing the ring turned out. We continue to get compliments every day, her friends are in awe over the ring. Drew and his team are amazing! My first visit to the store was to have my diamond placed in my grandmothers setting after my other engagement ring setting (purchased from another store) had broke. The ring was inspected thoroughly and his team worked meticulously to make sure the sizing was correct and the diamond was set appropriately. I was invited to watch through the glass window while my ring was being worked on. The ring was polished/cleaned after the work was complete and then shown to me to make sure I was satisfied with the work. The pricing was reasonable and fair.

My second visit was to have the same ring appraised. Many other stores closer to my home wanted me to leave my ring in the store for a few days to have it completed. I called Jewelry Design Gallery and was told it would take maybe 30 minutes because of my rings simple design and I could be present for the appraisal. Once in the store, Drew invited my fiancé and I into his office and we watched him work. He was very welcoming and informative during the process, and educated us on different specs of the diamond.
