I am sharing this information on behalf of my mother. Let me first start off with the fact that we reside in Pennsylvania. My mother does not drive nor does she have a vehicle. She receives EBT each month as well as her disability payment monthly. She depends on her monthly EBT payment as her disability check covers the total cost of her monthly rent and electricity bill, leaving nothing left for anything else. With that being said, she went to go and use her EBT card at the grocery store only to be told her balance was $0.²². Confused by what she learned, she then checkemd the last transactions used with her EBT card. The most recent transactions listed was of her monthly direct deposit on February 12th, directly following that was a debited transaction of her entire monthly EBT payment used at this market. So how was something like this even possible? Beats the hell outta me! She still physically has her card and was never given to anyone or used online for anything as she does not know how to do anything online when it comes to most things, hence the reason I am the one writing this review. She has attempted to contact the assistance office to speak to someone, was told her wait time was 30 minutes but ended up waiting for 2 ¹ hours. Final result 2 days in a row... spoke to absolutely not a single soul. I would like answers to how this was even possible. Because now my mother is without any food for the month and the assistance office isn't going to replace her stolen funds! So who will? Because again in this situation, this was absolutely impossible to even have occurred. And I will not stop until I get to the bottom of it and how...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst things first, I like the place since I can find most Turkish grocery items I need and also some other quality food. But when it comes to customer relations, they have a loooooong way to go.
Almost all employees automatically assume that you're Russian and start speaking in Russian immediately. Then you have to state you're not Russian and they will continue in English.
My latest experience was a total disappointment. On a busy saturday afternoon, you can expect the market to be busier than usual and longer lines at the registers. The express lanes are there for a reason.
The two ladies in front of me just emptied a huge cart full of items onto the register belt. It was clearly stated that the lane was an express lane for 15 or less items.
I patiently waited until Ms Tanya (who is also the manager to the registers area) completed the transaction and then I asked "this was meant to be an express lane, right?"
Her response was worse than the incident itself. "I cannot count everybody's items"
Excuse me? Do you have eyes and a judgment ability? You can clearly see those ladies had a cart load of items? Another reckless response: "I don't know I didn't see it"
Fine. Instead of saying only 2 words: "I'm sorry" the manager of the registers area had just manage to perform the worst customer service experience in the store ever.
From now on, I'll only stop by this place...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWow what a great experience. I was really afraid to come to this location after reading some of the reviews because it is about 20 minutes longer for me to get to this Netcost location that it is for me to get to the one on bustleton Avenue. It is a nice new store in a clean area and the majority of the people are very friendly. If you are not Russian or Ukrainian or of Slavic descent you can still feel comfortable coming to the store because all the workers are keen to help you. There is a clean bathroom and all of the foods that I came across were all fresh. Some other reviews complain that they had expired items and I think that goes for any of the net cost locations not just this one. There are aisles upon aisles of a large variety of foods which makes it hard sometimes for workers to go through all of them and their expiration dates. That is just the price that you pay if you're going to shop at the store. Just make sure that whatever you're getting you check the date and don't just mindlessly put it into your cart. Will definitely be coming back to this location and not driving to the one in Philadelphia any longer, I am married into Slavic culture and find that the other locations were rude and hostile. That's location was by far the most enjoyable experience and will definitely make the...
