My husband Jerry and I are traveling the country for three months. We happen to stop in Manistique as a layover to our next destination. We went out for dinner and on our way back to our hotel, Jerry saw this little bowling alley and we decided we had to check it out. What an awesome experience! We met Rick, the owner and his friend Jim who was bartending. They were both charming! Rick told us he just opened the place a week ago after being closed for 11 years. The place was so nostalgic with a Pac Man machine, jukebox, handwritten score cards and $3 beers! We had a blast bowling, even though we were terrible! They had an Orange County Choppers bowling ball, which we found funny because that is where i grew up, Orange County, NY. There were two other groups there and everyone was having a great time! I hope this community supports this awesome new venture! Best withes to you Rick and Jim! Thanks for a super fun memory during an...
Read moreStopped in here while visiting Manistique as it was snowing and we were looking for something to do. This place is a real gem of a time capsule for a trip back into what a 1970's bowling alley looked like. While the lanes aren't perfect and the balls are nicked up, that didn't matter to us. The experience of having a fun afternoon at an old style bowling alley was awesome. We had to remember how you actually used a pencil and paper to keep score. You know, back in the day when there weren't computers and people interacted. It was cool to listen to sound of the old style mechanical ball retriever bring your ball back. They have the old system before the vacuum style. It brought back memories. The older couple that own the place are very nice. If you're in town and looking for something to do...
Read moreThis place will wring you dry. A group of four of us went and bowled four games, ate one pretzel each, and each had two drinks. I had two cokes, my girlfriend two diet cokes, Kenny had two root beers, and Destiny had one water and they gave her a sprite she didn’t order and charged her for it! I expected the bill to be high. If this were the Bowl-o-rama in Escanaba we would’ve payed somewhere around $70-$80. At this place $131 even. Absolutely ludicrous, I’ll never be back and I warn...
