Oberst Pet Paradise — Local services in Manor Township

I wasn't going to leave a review but after the conversation I had with owner, I feel I need to.

I purchased a budgie from this store on Saturday. I was told he was 5 months old, and a male. I found it odd how relaxed and friendly he was; especially for his age I'd been told.

Ive purchased three other budgies from this store in the past. One died due to a nutritional issue and the other two flew away because a door had been left open. Those birds were kept in the same conditions as this one I just bought Saturday.

The bird I bought Saturday died last night. 72 hours after I purchased him. He was sick, which would explain why he was so "chill".

Given that the other birds had no issues I just wanted to inform the store owner to keep an eye on the other budgie in the cage with the one I bought. She blamed me, said the air quality in my house probably killed the bird. Except her store is caked in dust, dirt, and dander. you can literally see it when you enter the store. But it was My house that killed this bird?

In the picture i provide, you can see the bird is fluffed up. The picture was taken less than 24 hours after I bought the bird. So my apparently moldy, smokey, dirty house made this bird sick in under 24 hours, when the other birds I bought, living in the same conditions, had no...

The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and readily answering any questions you may have. The store contains most everything one would need for their pets. They have an extensive aquarium layout with plenty of cold water and tropical fish. I've purchased fish there on a few occasions, having better luck with the quality more recently. I definitely will keep coming back. The drawback includes operating hours. There have been a few occasions the owner/workers have not shown at the advertised opening times. I wonder why small business pet stores are always crammed with supplies, too. It's not a deal breaker, but it's definitely an inconvenience. Overall, I recommend this business. absolutely love this place! always get treated amazingly this has been my go-to place for years and it will be for many more. owner and all the staff are very well educated! today i took my dog in, and i believe it was the owner i’m not 100% sure she asked me very nicely if my dog was okay with treats,i said yes and she gave her a treat,she loved it! then she showed me some more treats they had so i had to get my pups a bag! they were deff a hit! even our picky dog liked them and it’s rare finding a treat he likes.
