I just spent over an hour trying to return items with a digital receipt in my email. I was told they could not return at the Ford City location, but I could go up to West Kittanning to return. I do not like inconsistencies when it comes to how I spend money or return items with corporations. I went to West Kittanning, and they couldn't return 2 backpacks and 2 lunch bags even though I have the items on my receipt. I am highly disappointed with Dollar General's customer service. I'm waiting on a call back from the district manager to atone this matter. They wouldn't even give me lowest selling price on a gift card. I have a 15 year retail career, so this was shocking to me as I have had to return used underwear as an associate at Victoria's Secret before. I think it goes without saying that if this matter is not absolved, I will boycott Dollar General forever. I do not care to spend my money at places where you cannot do returns after just 1 day of having the item. Shame on you and your terrible customer service and return policy and lack of training and lack of consistency. Returning after the holidays would be an absolute nightmare! Skip Dollar General this year if you're trying to decide where to holiday shop. You'll get stuck with unwanted non returnable items. Also, the new rewards where credits are earned rather than using traditional digital coupons is confusing and stupid, and if we don't figure this out, I'll just delete the app and pretend DG does not exist. I have not spent money at one specific local Sheetz on 422 SINCE MAY 2023 due to bad customer service. Money as a consumer is one tiny power that we possess. Don't spend at places who don't care about their customers.
