Very nasty filthy place the state of Texas ought to be ashamed letting a place like this serve people.This place definitely looks like a institution not homey at all ,I feel so sorry for the residents .I will be complaining to the state on the conditions that I saw.If u love your love one please look into a different place ,u will regret leaving your loved one here .Place needs to be remodeled like 20 years ago ,old outdated furniture reminds me of the 1970's...smh sad sad sad 😢😢😢 these people...

One should ask the STAFF why there is such a protective perimeter. It makes sense....for the safety of all concerned. Shannon and the staff do a great job, despite the obvious lack of funds the Federal Government and Texas earmark for the welfare of the residents. Oakcrest should be condemned or remodeled from the ground/dirt up. This is not a typical (elderly) care facility. Regardless, the aged 40-plus people residing there with their issues deserve better. Overhaul it or demolish...

This place should be shut down! IT is disgusting and filthy.They don't treat the patients like human beings. I was sent there as punishment for calling my old social worker a dyke. And the time that I was there I was robbed by the mentally ill patients that are there needless to say I am glad that I got the he@l out of there so if you are looking for a place to put your loved one DON'T EVEN...
