If I could give no stars I would. First let me start off with the details. Two boys 5 and 8. The five year old has been there since he was 3 and the 8 year old goes after school for two hrs. During the summer both do summer camp and the cost?? $1600 plus a month. One wow the cost... not many can afford that and two is it worth $1600 plus. When I say run as fast as you can and if you have any special needs kids do not and I repeat DO NOT leave them here. The oldest is autistic and when he's frustrated or doesn't understand has a mini melt down. Now after years of therapy and meds he has learned how to sit down and breathe thru it. We haven't had full melt downs in over a year. My daughter is required to provide all the info about this and how to handle every year so the staff can be educated in the event something happens. Well on a field trip to a local arcade the kids were given a card with cash and when his ran out he got upset. He asked the teachers for more and was told no so He started to kick the machine but instead sat down crossed his arms and breathed through it. How was it handled? They surrounded him with adults then brought one bus loaded him on it and then took him back to school and told the 8 yr old he was banned from field trips. When my daughter got to him he was terrified. This is the same child that last year was bullied by three older after school kids who hit, punched, pushed him down, stole his snacks, jackets, hats, etc and got a slap on the wrist. While my daughter was discussing this another child in trouble sat kicking the wall and when brought to directors attention of how that was any different her reply was "oh well we know her". With the amount of ethical policies and rules not followed here, i am truly surprised no one was hurt. On top of this, it was the owners who banned him and they don't even show up or attend anything. Go on glass door and read the company reviews from their employees. they have less than a 1 star. Please read reviews before leaving your children there especially anyone that has any issues. They pick and choose their favs and if your kids isn't one oh well. One kid in the entire school was allergic to peanuts and because they were a "chosen one" the entire school wasn't allowed to have anything even peanut butter and jelly sandwich. We have since withdrawn and discussing legal but please do your research. If you just go in and check it will look like candy land and all is well in the world. This is nothing but a smoke screen for the daily crap show. No I am not a parent thinking our kids are angels as they aren't they are kids, but the child banned... in the fourth grade, plays baseball, in the GT program, no issues at school, sweetest personality and was literally just...
Read moreOur experience with this summer camp was extremely disappointing. My son is lactose intolerant, but the camp’s approach to accommodating him was inconsistent and poorly handled. While he can tolerate cheese, there was no clear policy. Some days he was served cheese pizza, mac and cheese, or grilled cheese sandwiches, yet other times he was denied something as simple as string cheese. On one occasion, he was given a chicken and cheese quesadilla, only to have it taken away and replaced without cheese, or served plain noodles instead of mac and cheese. I eventually had to start packing him a lunch, even though meals were supposed to be included, because the camp’s options didn’t meet his needs. There were no lactose-free milk options, so he couldn’t have cereal for breakfast at all.
When I tried addressing this, the person at the front desk was new and didn’t know how to help. Communication overall was non-existent. There were no updates and no transparency about what was happening a summer camp.
Bullying was also a serious issue. My nephew was repeatedly hit and called names, and nothing seemed to be done about it. Safety procedures were concerning as well, every time my husband picked up the kids, staff simply let him walk back to get them without using the fingerprint system or verifying he was authorized.
Overall, this camp lacked organization, communication, safety protocols, and consistency. I would not recommend it to families who expect a safe, inclusive, and well-managed environment for...
Read moreMy children have been attending this school since the fall. I transferred them here from the company's other center Imagine Nation Learning Center (down the street) because my son was able to go to the private school offered at Walnut Creek Academy. I have transitioned my children between 4 of the corporation's schools over the course of 8 years as my career has changed and moved me about the southern part of the DFW metroplex because I love the values of the corporation and feel extremely comfortable with the company as a whole. The Christian values and faith based curriculum is very important to us. My children have loved all of their teachers and look forward to seeing them and I know my children are not the only ones who feel that way, judging by the interactions I witness at drop off and pick up. Greatly recommend parents to look into having their child attend this school.
**Additional Review: I wanted to write a review on the Everley Rose Center which is the infant building for this school, but i couldn't find it in the search. My baby had to go to that building for a couple months until she turned 3 and could move to the Academy side. The small cozy atmosphere of the building is great and it always smells so nice! (Which is saying something for a building with so many diapers...
