I was very pleased with my salesman Bear. He was on top of communication throughout my whole experience. He walked me through everything on the machine I bought. While trying to buy a four wheeler there two and a half years ago however, I had money down on one and it came in damaged so I was told the four wheeler had my name on it and when it was fixed I was going to pick it up. Somehow when it got fixed, my name was taken off the machine and they sold it to someone else. I was very upset and was told from the GM Ron Hinman that they would eat $500 for the mishap and I will get the next four wheeler that comes in. A few months later the Interest rate went up $500 for the life of my loan. I called and told Ron this and he said they would eat the $500 for the interest rate increase. I waited two years and still no four wheeler had came in. I had called multiple times to see if one had came in and the only way I was in communication with them is when I called. Nobody ever called and let me know what was going on which was very frustrating. Ron told me they were going to send my money back and I was going to get a call when a four wheeler came in. After six months I was looking on craigslist and saw they had the exact four wheeler I wanted and nobody had contacted me. I called and spoke to Ron and asked if he was still going to stick by our original deal with me getting $1000 off and he said no. He wouldn't negotiate whatsoever on price. I had asked if he would take off the documentation fee and or put accessories on for free and he said no. "He was not going to lose money on this deal". I was very upset, Ron is not a man of his word and a terrible manager. I couldn't believe after waiting for two and a half years for a four wheeler that was their mistake I had to pay full price just like everyone else. Very poor leadership and customer service on Ron's part. We had a deal and Vern EIDE backed out and wouldn't do anything for me when a four wheeler finally came in. I would recommend the salesman "Bear" to anyone who wants an honest salesman with good people skills and communication. I would not deal with a snake like Ron Hinman ever again. Read moreAfter deciding on a specific brand and model of motorcycle, I went to several dealer locations to research prices and availability. I usually believe in support local businesses, but in this case, Vern Eide Motoplex and Pete in BMW sales won me over with the best price in the three state area (MN, WI, & SD). The savings justified the 5 hour drive to make the purchase and dealing with the sales team was fast and easy. I used to a powersports salesperson (motorcycles, ATV, snowmobiles, etc.) and I can appreciate the straight forward sales technique and open to negotiation to make the sale. Due to inclement weather I had a time constraint, otherwise I would have made time to take advantage of the upsell or discounted extras offered that usually accompany a bike purchase. Despite the distance, I would definately recommend trusing this dealership and sales department in the future. Their prices are extremely competitive, if not the best offered in the 3-4 state area, their inventory offers fast acquisition, and I wish I lived closer to use the services offered by the service department. In particular, Peter Wimmer in sales was knowledgeable, easy to commuicate with, and accomodating on picking up, loading, and explaining the basics unique to the make and model purchased. Pete actually rides the make of the bike I purchased and was quick to point out the useful settings and options to consider. In short, I was very happy with the entire aspect of the purchase, both process and product. Read moreGreat store and purchase experience. 4 stars only because the first salesman I tried did not return email correspondence. However, the second guy I worked with, Evan Jones, was fantastic. I flew in from out of State to buy a motorbike from Vern Eide. Evan corresponded with me via email, phone calls, and text messages promptly and professionally. Evan picked me up at the airport hotel, treated me respectfully and was just easy to work with, without being pushy in any way. The entire sales transaction at the dealership was professional. Evan answered all my questions, gave me a tour of the facility, and had the service dept give me a brief rundown on breaking in the motorbike. The finance guy, Damon Hall was professional, explained all the options available to me, went through the finance contract in detail, and did not try to push any options on me that I opted not to take. He has corresponded with me promptly to answer some questions I had since closing the deal. Pushy sales and finance people are usually a deal breaker for me. I have walked away from vehicle purchases in the past for this very reason. This did NOT happen at Vern Eide, and that left a lasting, positive impression in my mind.
