BIG G Foods — Local services in Marengo

I am disappointed by the number of five-star reviews for this grocery store. Despite being a loyal customer for the past two years, I have repeatedly encountered expired food items from this store. I stopped buying meat last fall after receiving slimy meat for the third time, and the recent incident with expired eggs was the final straw. It's unacceptable to be sold eggs that expired two weeks ago. When I contacted the store to request a replacement, they insisted on seeing a receipt. Given that I have been a regular shopper for two years, I find it ridiculous that they would ask for a receipt for something as basic as eggs. In my opinion, this store needs a health inspector to address these issues. I'm disgusted by the poor quality...

My visit to Big G's is always Top Line their workers employees they're always going out of their way to tell me thank you and how you doing and ask me do I need help finding anything Big G has the best employees of any store I've ever seen in my life some of the checkout ladies are having a bad day once in awhile Andrew short with me but never rude or mean everyone is entitled to have a bad day once in awhile I would like to rather shop at Big G's everyone is familiar to me and you make me feel comfortable in the store and even sometimes in the parking lot pushing carts Chauvin treat Bee Gees 1 through 10 1 being the best 10 being worst I would have to wait BG's in a high 9 or 10 thank you big. Playing the lottery for the first time and I tried their machine first but kept timing out too quickly so I go to the counter to play and I'm asking the older lady questions to make sure I'm playing it right. I play my first number and as I start to give her my second number she throws up her hands and goes to help a different guest and starts just have a conversation with him after he even played his lottery right in front of me. Meanwhile I'm just standing there still trying to play my numbers but I just walked out before I said something that wouldn't have been nice. It was very rude...
