Where do I start? I moved here 5 years ago, and it has been the most difficult time of my life. I started the Pause right after we arrived, and sought help for Hair Falling Out, Migraines, Fibromyalgia (childhood Rheumatic fever), Insomnia, Diabetes, Eye Allergies, and Acne. Before menopause, I had insomnia, fibromyalgia and migraines. The 1st lady doc, put me on new Lovistatin, for high cholestral. This made my arms so sore, that I could seriously not use them, not able to raise them more than a few inches. When I told doc, she said 'Shake it off!' Later I find out that some docs prescribe cholestral meds automatically if you have Diabetes, even without a relevant blood test to indicate the need, And it can cause bad muscle Pains. I thought my pains were from the Pause, but stopped taking it because I was too sick to. Pain stopped in about a month! Second Nurse practitioner said I needed a Psychiatrist for all my symptoms....and gave me only one month of the meds I had been taking for 25 years. I called later to inform about the negligence of said nurse, and was told they all stand by the nurses opinion. So went to Casa Grande for a gynecologist, woman doc...she said she did not treat menopause, only did paps and mams, and charged me for the Nothing doing apt. I also saw a Dermatologist, and she saw me for 15 minutes, gave me pills for 2 weeks, and said I would need to see her every 2 weeks, probably forever. At $165 a visit $35 co-pay, I could never afford So much. So I had no health care for the whole 3rd year. I had given up on Sun Life, and considered moving. Fourth year, I tried again, was able to receive meds for insomnia and diabetes, and that helped, but I needed more with the acne, fibromyalgia muscle pain with leg Sciatica, and eye allergies. Fifth year, I had Shingles (too much stress with health care). I saw the only doc, a colored woman, and she have me one month of low dose Gabapentine, the Shingles has lasted for over a year! When I called for more Gaba, she refused. The nurse practitioner I now see, has a habit of Not Listing my script for Trazodone, for insomnia. She insists I come back every 3 months for blood labs and a check up....I am only on the pills, not the needle. Twice this year, I have gone without any Trazodone, because she always registers it as No Refills. The pharmacist needs to contact them 3 times, and I needed to contact them in person as well, to sort it out. This has happened 2 out of 3 times this year, running around for 4 days...I have no hopes of it ever being righted. If you live here, you will be treated as a number for insurance, being used as a source of payment, with trickery and suggestions of it all being your own fault for being sick. If you must, I suggest keep smiling, until you can definitely find someplace else. Casa Grande is exactly the same style. It seems there is a prevalence of Arrogance in this Sun Life system. If they can make you feel bad about yourself, give you just enough to make you feel like you need them more....and be happy with the crumbs they throw, you will be back sooner, with your Insurance payments. They get Paid, every time you have an apt, whether you receive care or Not! The Insurance is their first concern, not you. I have been double charged from Sun Life, my bank no longer allows any auto computer withdrawals from them. By using the double entendre's (making us feel dumb and needy), and ambiguity of what is going on...they simply use us as cash cows. Recently I was asked about my Flu and eunomia shots, saying if I did not have records, they could not be of any help. I contacted Wal-Mart pharmacist, he simply suggested I have the P 23, at age 60-now, then again at 65. When I said this, the Nurse said, better to get it from them....where a week earlier they told me no help without the Records. The fear of the pharmacist taking the business, forced their hand to help. I wish we could see the pharmacist for everything, except for new problems....they are glad to hear, and help, without the Insurance companies. Sad world we are...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI'd give this place 0 stars if I could. To start I was a patient here a few years ago and had an okay experience, but would NEVER reconsider coming back to this location. My 83 year old parents have been feeling sick lately and need to be tested for COVID. The pinal county Health department website directed me to this clinic to have a drive-thru test completed. The Sun Life Family Health Center website states that testing is M-F 8-430pm (excluding 12-1 for lunch) in all locations except Coolidge. I have attached a screenshot here so they can't go in and change the time to pretend I misread their website. I had a bad feeling about this "health" center when I tried to call them to reconfirm their drive-thru testing hours as there were 56 people on hold ahead of me, and hours of waiting I could not take part in due to needing to get back to my job. When I arrived at the center at 4:00pm, there was a staff member in COVID testing gear (shield, N95 mask, gloves, etc.) testing the car in front of us. However, they then went inside and never came back out. I proceeded inside the facility and said I needed 2 drive-thru COVID PCR tests completed and was told that testing was over at 330pm. When I said that their website says 430pm and that I just saw someone being tested outside, the woman at the front desk proceeded to increasingly speak to me rudely, and would not help me in any manner. All she kept saying was "My supervisor said testing is over at 330pm." When I asked to speak to the supervisor, as I am very concerned for my parents and needed the help that Sun Life says is available on their website, the woman blatantly refused. I have never been so disgusted in my life at how I was treated in this facility. This place should be investigated by the State and shut down as it's clear there are some shoddy practices going on here. Shame on you! You shouldn't even call yourself a Health Center as clearly all your staff cares about is playing on their cellphones instead of ACTUALLY providing necessary...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSUNLIFE is great! My doctor is just ok on his bed side manner, but . I have not been there very long so I am hopeful . The girls that take your blood are so kind and I just adore. I had to have additional care at another hospital and Sun Life took care of everything for me. immediately. They made me feel very comfortable. I had one of those days where nothing seemed to work out. Just an unpleasant day!. Well I had to get blood drawn. I thought the lab was there until five but it was 4, (it was approximately 3:58)called the receptionist and told her and she could tell I was having a stressful day so she actually went back and asked those girls if they would be willing to wait for me. It only took me a couple minutes before I arrived and both girls were so pleasant. No attitudes, no anger because they were asked if they would wait for me, Just pleasantness. . One of them was a student and did an excellent job taking my blood. Thank you! I didnāt even feel that needle go in. A lot of places wouldāve said oops sorry itās 4 oāclock. Call back tomorrow, but thatās not what she did. She took the time to go back there and talk to the girls and see if they would be willing to wait and they did. I felt my really, really crappy day was done and an evening of peace was ahead. They made me feel part of the family right away and thatās important to a new patient. My prescriptions cost almost 50% less through SunLife pharmacy than CVS!! 50% LESS! Everyone I met is very very caring, sincere and truly appreciate that I decided to come to them for my Healthcare. I would highly recommend the office in Maricopa, AZ!!!! Thank you, SUNLIFE . Leisa š
Iāve had my blood drawn there since and the young lady was extremely good. I felt nothing at all. She was personable, friendly. SUNLIFE Hill really is a pleasant place to be for your Healthcare. I go to the one in Maricopa Arizona and I love it. Thank you, SUNLIFE...
