Dollar General — Local services in Marion

If you are a present or past employee of this Dollar General or ANY dollar General. Know your rights. It is illegal for your supervisor or manager to request or require you to do any work off the clock! If you have worked off the clock. You need to contact your corporate office and an attorney! I will not be coming back to this Dollar General! I know of several people who have been told to do work off of the clock. And when it was taken to Denise the area manager it was ignored. When it was taken to corporate office Denise and Sara retaliated! Sara doesn’t know the first thing about how to talk to people or how to treat people. And neither does Denise. A couple of the most unprofessional human beings there are. I recon to Jim the regional manager to look at the problems that are ongoing. High turn over! You can’t keep hell at this location. The store aisles are always a mess and a hazard to public safety! You think there isn’t a problem? 4 general managers in a year not to mention the numerous cashiers and assistant managers that have come and gone. If you can see where your problem is; and it’s obvious! You don’t deserve my business! I’m urging everyone on the west end of Marion Ohio to Boycott dollar general on Bellefontain Ave. show these greedy jerks that we stand together that it is WRONG to expect anyone to work off the clock! It’s unethical and illegal. There are labor laws...

If I could give this 0 stars, I would. It's always a mess. Nothing is ever stocked. Boxes and carts block every aisle/item you are trying to look for. None of the workers are ever around and when you finally do find one, they are incompetent and unprofessional. Now they refuse to have anyone around to man the cash register...but they still have to come fix the self checkout because it never works right. You stand and wait 15 minutes for someone to come help and they use the excuse that they 'were stocking' but as I mentioned, there's never any items that you need in stock. So, if they arent stocking, and they aren't being a cashier...Im confused as to what they are ACTUALLY doing all day?!?! Not sure what they're thinking with this sort of approach, but this Dollar General is pathetic. They recently remodeled and it's worse than ever before. I don't know how the health department hasn't shut this place down yet. Every time I go, I see boxes of frozen food just sitting in front of the freezers without a soul around to put them away. I shop here all the time. Usually I do not have a problem, but tonight my children and I Went in thereAnd the music was so loud That my children could not hear me And I had to practically yell inside the store to talk to my children And the same with them.Then when I was at the register trying to check out and the cashier had room repeatedly ask if I wanted my pops left out. I answered her each time. I asked her why the music was so loud and she either ignored me, or was unable to hear me because she just said have a nice night.
