Fantastic news that this meat market is still in business. It was originally established by my grandpa John Richard Huebinger, Sr. years ago. My grandma Rosalie would send me over to the market to purchase and pick up meat and milk when I lived with her in Marion, Texas. I am more than pleased to see that the new owners are doing such a wonderful job with providing services to the community. What a pleasure to see it looking so wonderful and continuing to operate. I will stop in the next time I come down and purchase some of meat and items. Are you still making the Germain sausage that was beyond delicious and using my grandpa's recipe? Both my grandparents, John and Rosalie, would be pleased if they saw what a wonderful job the new owners are doing with their previous meat market. Thank you for what you have done with the business; your products and meat look more than delicious and prices more than reasonable. Very nice people as well. Thank you for all you have done. Respectfully, Sheryl Huebinger from Colorado. Do you by chance ship out-of-state any sausage or any of your jerky that you make? Keep up the fantastic work! Very AWESOME!! :) Impressive work! Too bad that I do not live in Marion today in order to utilize and routinely shop at your market. Very down to Earth people in that town,...
Read moreI tried their pork pinwheels, chicken pinwheels and their Armadillo egg (pan sausage wrapped around a jalapeno that's stuffed with cheese). All three items were cooked on a Traeger for little over an hour and turned out great. The guy behind the counter was very informative and let me know about similar items I would like do to my meat choices. That's good customer service in my opinion. The store was clean an did not have a "meat" smell as some other markets do. The only thing I didn't like was how their dried sausage was sold. It was all in open bins where everyone could touch it. I saw several people digging though bins to find one they liked. Not very sanitary to me so I did not buy any. They should shrink wrap them like Pruski's meat...
Read moreWent there a few days ago to try them out. Love Granzins, but just wanted to roll the dice and explore my options a little. WellâŚ.. I wonât be doing that again. First off, we went in about 2 pm on a Wednesday and some of their meats were oxidized and brown. I understand the oxidation process, but thatâs just not what fresh meat is supposed to look like. We got some tenderized beef round, and when I went to cook it the next day the whole bottom was a pool of blood, and smelled rotten. Took our chances bc we spent the money, and the meat was so very tough (even after they put it in a tenderizer). Sorry, but I wonât be...
