Dollar General — Local services in Martins Ferry

I had the pleasure of shopping the Dollar General Store in Martin's Ferry, Ohio this morning while I was on my way to St. Clairsville to pick up some groceries at Kroger. Tim greeted me as I entered and offered assistance. He smiled and made great eye contact. Tim checked me out at the register and made friendly conversation about the area. He was personable, considerate, and professional. I found everything I was looking for and the store was neat and organized. I would recommend Tim and this location to family and friends. Thank you, Dollar General for having a kind, personable employee like Tim. :) 11-11-2023. I visited the Dollar General in Martin's Ferry, Ohio, today and had a great time shopping for my Saturday groceries. I found everything on my list, and all prices matched the receipt; Leeann was awesome. She greeted me upon entry and did a great job of checking me out, ensuring I received my $5 off $25 coupon discount. She smiled and made me feel right at home. I recommend this Dollar General location and LeeAnn to family...

I live close by so I go here pretty often. My 3 complaints are that they really don't carry enough stock. There's not much to choose from especially when it comes to hygiene products. And also, there's been a few cashiers who I've found rude and unprofessional. One specific time a cashier working was too busy flirting with the man in front of me that I literally had to wait for her to get done. Generally, they only have 1 cashier and it no doubt gets busy in there. On occasion I have gone there on my lunch break to get cigarettes and had to leave because the line was so long. Also, there is always stock sitting in the middle of the aisles inconveniently. Other than that, I'll continue shopping there when I don't want to go too...

Wow, what a difference! I love this Dollar General… cleanest and friendliest staff too. You can’t forget the 2 managers as well, Kay and Kelli 😍 I couldn’t say which is nicer, they go above and beyond to help you. I recently had the pleasure of having Kelli help me find a car charger. She knew exactly what I needed and where everything in the store is located. All while trying to wait on other customers, ringing phones, stocking the shelves and waiting on me. AMAZING! Definitely go in and ask for them, you won’t leave...
