TOTALLY agree with Steel Reign & sharon lare in the previous review.. Cloud 9 was the WORST experience i ever had at a salon. This is actually the first bad review i have ever written about anything in my life but i felt it was necessary for the person reading this review to hopefully save them from having a bad experience like i did. I always tend to spend the extra cash to go to a PROFESSIONAL salon because who doesn't want amazing hair afterwards? I was already weary at first because the area this salon is located doesn't get much hype at all- but i figured i would give it a shot since i heard it was suppose to be a good salon. When i arrived, the girls didn't take any recognition that i was standing there. They continued to talk and ignore my presence for a solid couple minutes before they actually greeted me. My "stylist" came over and took me to my chair- where soon every regretful thinking in my brain would start. After a good 4 months of a well needed cut and color- i was going for a dramatic change. Wanted a good 8 inches off and a natural redish brown from blonde color. She was immediately horrified of what i wanted and you could tell from her lack of experience that the stylist herself was nervous about what was being asked of me. So i proceeded to give her ideas and received NOTHING in return but "its a big change to decide what color" lmao. I was immediately wanting to run out of the door but i needed my hair done so bad i didn't want to wait any longer. I never went red before so i needed every opinion i could get-because thats what a stylist is suppose to do right? you give them ideas and they compile them into an idea of their own. But since she wasn't even a stylist for A YEAR she had no idea how to do that (she was prob late 30's). I'm surprised she didn't ask me to cut my own hair- that eventually we spent 15 minutes making even in the end because apparently she doesn't know how to cut hair either. (i was going for a short long bob cut) I showed her a picture of a similar color i wanted- she was soon grabbing swatches and holding them against the picture so hopefully a color would reassure her and scream THATS THE ONE!! As she was putting blonde through my hair (which i specifically stated i didn't want any new blonde put in) she asked what kind of blonde i wanted; yellow, platinum, toned. As i laughed out loud, i said through all my 15+ years of coloring my hair blonde i have never been asked that question before. So she replied with "oh, i'll see how it looks" well duh lady my goodness. The salon had interns if you call it, or even more unexperienced HIGH SCHOOL girls wanting to be ur guinea pig running around. The stylist themselves looked like they were going for a midnight run to walmart-hair in pony tails, no makeup, not professional looking at all. Not saying they didn't know how to do hair but i wouldn't trust someone looking like that doing my own. Young girls doing each others makeup (whether they worked their or not, they surely were not working that day) real professional. To sum it up, save your money and yourself from this classless salon- you'll end up wishing you did. I'm positive wheeling has a more upscale, classy salon that it worth what you pay for. Hope this helps for those of you looking for...
Read moreI made an appointment with this salon on a recommendation of a friend, appoint set for 11:15, on 2/11, I show up for my appointment at 10:50 told the young lady doing my hair isn't in yet...when she comes in she takes me right away!! this well be the only good thing I can say, this salon calls themselves a spa however after making myself coffee and they had powdered creamer I should have ran...but because I was told they where good I stayed...HUGE MISTAKE!! I had wanted to get my hair permed again so it was easier for me to get in shower and go, at 12:00 noon the young lady doing my hair asked me to go sit in a chair behind her station as she had another hair cut, I know the exact time because I texted my daughter to let her know I was perming my hair...at 12:25 young lady is walking up front with the guy she did the cut on, never came back so I had to walk up front to get her and inform her that I was pretty sure she should've checked the perm after 10 minutes, she then checks my hair moves me to the wash station( and mind you the entire time she had never set a timer...guessing because I wasn't her regular I didn't matter much!! so after 35 minutes of perm solution on my head I pretty much knew I just allowed someone to destroy my hair!!! neutralize goes on she finally decides to set a timer 5 minutes walks away again timer goes off she returns a few minutes after I can only think she was informing the owner that she fried my hair...now if bad cant get worse it does a trim turns into almost 2 inches of my hair being removed due to the damage she did... she then diffuses my hair but on the highest high she can clearly she has no PRIDE in her work! the entire time my back is to the mirror when I tell her to turn the chair around my hair if fried fizzy and I look like a clown! As a professional woman I knew I couldn't go to a courthouse looking like what her hardy work had done to me, girl at front desk tells my they are not charging me as if they are doing me a favor and I shouldn't be upset, I tell them my hair is fried, the one lady how I believe is the owner feels me hair and has the nerve to mouth to the other girl no its soft!! now you would think I had been through a nightmare but it wasn't over I went to a spa Ive been to before to see if they could help my hair deep conditioner anything just please...they do but after a deep conditioner, I am informed that the young lady who clearly didn't care about the perm she did also had cut one side of the back of my hair almost an inch shorter than the other!! Not at one point did she even pull the hair straight to ensure she had cut my hair evenly!!! I owe a world of thanks to this other salon a real spa, I will never step foot in cloud 9 again!!! and the young lady who ruind my hair need to find another...
Read moreI really hate to do this, but I had a horrible experience with getting an ombre brow/microblading. My eyebrows are kinda far apart, and I wanted microblading to bring them closer together, then coloring in bc they are very light. Mercedes I think her name was mapped out my brows, and I immediately pointed out the line wasn't centered on my nose, she said she noticed that and accommodated for it. I trusted her, bc I went to what I thought was a great salon. I'd been wanting this done forever and was very excited. She did my right brow first and when she showed me I panicked. It was rounded on the outside, then the inner 1/3 was straight, like, weirdly straight. It looks like the other mother's brows. She called her mom, the manager, in and her mom remapped them, what her mom did looked great and I was so relieved. But once Mercedes finished it still looked awful. She assured me it would look better once the microblading was done, I trusted her. So she did the other brow. Now at this point they are completely uneven, my right one goes in 1/2 an inch more than my left, they have completely different shapes and I'm crying. Shellie comes in and I can see it in her eyes she agrees with me, just like the mom/manager did. So Shellie puts in some hair like strokes n tries to even it out, It did look better, but still awful. All they kept telling me is that it would fade and they'd fix it at my 6 week follow up. So, to recap, my right brow comes into my nose more, is thicker, longer, and the inside of the brows swoop up like the other mother. I don't plan on returning for my 6 week follow up bc I learn my lesson the first time. The girls were nice, but Mercedes clearly didn't know how to do my brows, and instead of admitting it and letting someone who did know do them, she did them anyway and royally screwed them up. My concerns were disregarded, and I kept being told they looked fine, when everyone there knew they didn't. And once they admitted they looked awful, I was pretty much told to deal with it for the next 6 weeks. I wouldn't send my worst enemy there for their brows. What should of been an exciting and happy night for me turned into a nightmare and I didn't deserve to have to deal with this. Save ur time, money and embarrassment and get ur brows...
