Customer service for iPhone repair was good, and the price was reasonable. However, I have serious concerns about the quality of the repairs.
I had the screen replaced on my iPhone 13, a phone I was preparing to sell. The device was in excellent condition apart from the cracked screen. Similarly, I had another iPhone 13 repaired—this one had a cracked camera lens but was otherwise in excellent condition.
Unfortunately, both repairs were subpar. The replaced screen and camera lens did not match factory standards. The screen seemed to sit higher than the original and made the phone feel bulky. The screen itself was soft, and almost gel-like to the touch. The camera lens repair also protruded a few millimeters more than the original lens.
At first glance, both phones looked ok, but upon closer inspection, the quality issues became apparent. When I tried to sell the phones, they were flagged during inspection due to the poor quality of the repairs. I was told that the screen replacement, in particular, was problematic and that I would have been better off keeping the original cracked screen.
The final assessment revealed specific issues: • The replacement screen was improperly anchored to the device’s casing, leaving a gap that could allow debris or moisture to enter and potentially damage the internal hardware. • The camera lens needed to be replaced.
In contrast, a third iPhone 13 I sold (same company for all the phones at the same time), which had no repairs, passed inspection with a flawless assessment.
Ultimately, the $150 spent on these repairs significantly reduced the value of my phones. The one with the replaced screen lost 2/3 of its value. While the shop may seem decent, I strongly advise against getting iPhone repairs done here. Go elsewhere if you want to preserve the quality and value of...
Read moreDO NOTTTT GO THERE. The guy “fixed” my iPhone for cheap but when he fixed it he also stole a lot of parts out of the inside of it and broke my speaker meanwhile it took him 6 hours to fix it . I took my phone to the mall the fixed my speaker and screen In under a hour AND had to replace everything underneath the screen because “STL wireless” took it out and kept it for himself . I called to let him know that i knew what he did and he said “take a picture I’ll take a look at it” hung up instantly and didn’t answer a call after that . HORRIBLE business. It MAYBE cheap but your phone will be useless after the guy gets done with it !!! This DEFINITELY happened and i did get my phone fixed here at STL wireless he hung the phone up everytime i called to speak on it the guy at the mall took pictures of my phone but i know the guy at STL WIRELESS was going to say i didn’t do that i didn’t take all that stuff out nor did i bring it back stl wireless .. why ? Because i DONT live n St. Louis AND also !!! He definitely took alll of 6 hours IF not more AND my phone was STILLL broke after that and he wanted to keep my phone overnight because he broke it . I highly don’t recommend this place and don’t say i didn’t take my phone there cause I’ll screenshot my money being taking off my debit card . Don’t be mad because you do HORRIBLE business and take people’s things out of their iPhones so you can use them in the future !!!!! TERRIBLE people ! I was even informed at the mall you used to do business with them and they said you guys were terrible as well and to NOT EVER go to stl...
Read moreI called STL Wireless Repair because I had a cracked iPhone XR screen. I have been looking for a place to get my screen fixed for quite some time. In Illinois where I live we have CPR. I’ve been there before and really just had service. It wasn’t good it wasn’t bad. So I called them to make an appointment and was told they were out of iPhone XR screens but that they might come in on the truck they happened to be expecting that afternoon. LIES. Any good repair store stocks up on IPhone XR repair supplies. A lot of people have this phone. I also saw a coupon in an email abs thought “cool I’ll get $10 off. NOPE the manager told me that was on a new phone purchase.but when you hit the link get the coupon it brought you to schedule your repair, LIES again, When I said that if not what the email said, she yelled at me and told me if I was military I would get a military discount. That is what bad service is.
Now, GREAT service is at STL Wireless Repair. I spoke with Peter who was SUPER friendly he was courteous and I got an estimate of $100 to fix my screen. This was already $50 less than CPR and other competitors. Additionally, because I had found out about them through Facebook, I got an addition $10 off. With a phone call to my fathers cell phone (father was with me) my phone was returned to me within 30 min and it was done perfectly. Peter and his repair man deserve to be commended for their job well done.i applaud their kindness, timeliness and quality craftsmanship. I will be retuning as well as referring all of my fiends! Thank you...
