First thing I heard when I opened the pizza at home was "did they even put bacon on the whole thing?," they were supposed to and it wasn't obvious. They had, but it had a very jerky like texture, chewy. Pizza crust was bitter, with a funky aftertaste that won't go away, and the onions were there visually only. Toasted ravs were super hard around the edges. After seeing and eating the food it doesn't surprise me that they snuck an extra charge on the bill for using a card. Never mentioned it when I ordered just added it, and when I said something they pointed at a sign, in a shadow, that explains and I quote "passing the charge onto the customer," or at least that's what he told me it said. I wasn't gonna read it as I'm not gonna go back. When I first called, all the person who answered could tell me about the pizza was that it was thin, and their most popular item. And that the manager had just left for a 1/2 hour and I could call back and ask them. So they skimped on training as well, tiny menu and no one could describe their most popular item to me other than thin. So sad, I was so happy when I saw they had finally opened. Only restaurant on my way home from the...
Read moreMy friend and I just tried this place for the first (and last) time. We both ordered the French Onion soup. I had to wait for my onion soup because the server rang in chili for me. Neither of us could eat more than a few spoons. There was some weird flavor neither of us couple put our finger on. The best I could describe it would be acidic, vinegar flavor. We both sent it back. He tried the chili and said that was bad and sent it back too.
We both ordered burgers - mushroom swiss for him, smash burger for me. I asked for pickle and onion and only got pickles. The burger itself wasn't terrible, but the sauce on it kind of had that same weird flavor as the soup. My friend said his was OK, but nothing special - he would have rather had a Whopper.
When I ordered, the server asked what side I wanted. She said their fries were really good. Neither of us cared for them either. They were that weird, battered type of fries where there are always groups stuck together. Whatever cheap ketchup was on the table did not help them. Ended up paying $20 for burger, fries, and soda...
Go up the road a bit to Pop's Kitchen and get a double cheeseburger, fries, and drink...
Read moreTonight I stopped across the street from my apartment complex at the establishment. I had been there previously, and I will say that I enjoyed the food and the experience.
On this evening, I was greeted by one of the owners and asked if I could just seat myself. He said yes, so I chose a table not far from the entrance.
I waited a total of 15 minutes. A table next to me was already seated. The guests left, the table was cleaned, and another couple sat down at the table. They were immediately greeted, given a menu, and were shortly after told their server would momentarily be with them.
In the time I waited, still not having been acknowledged, the owner previously mentioned and three or four servers walked past me a handful of times. I left having been completely ignored during my visit.
As I mentioned, my first visit went well, but the quality of service on my second visit was very disappointing and definitely made me feel unwelcome. I hope that for any guest at this establishment after this post, you receive the respect and dignity ome should hope for in any...
