Took my explorer there for transmission and inspection. Took them almost a month to get the car back to me. Even with many phones explaining it’s my only car and needed it back sooner than later. Every week that went by was more money spent on repairs. Took an extra week because one of the guys forgot to look at the pump seal. And it started to leak. The gentleman told me that was there bad they should have looked at it first. No big deal. They fixed it. The lady who answers the phone was rude almost every time I called. Had an attitude with me for starting to get frustrated that it was taking so long. The only time she was happy on The phone was to tell me my car was done. Which was only because she was probly tired of my phone calls. I was very calm and never gave any of them an attitude about it. Till week number 4 hit. I know places get busy. But first come first serve. You think a 2700 dollar bill would make them care a little more. That is incorrect. My wife was hung up on twice. And the attitude was endless with this lady. And on top of it all they wouldn’t even give a penny of a break on the price. Even tho it took an extra week one due to race season starting. Two due to a bad pump seal that should have been looked at to begin with. I am please that all the work that was said needed done was fine. And the mechanics in the place at least know what there doing for the most part. I will not be back to this place. I don’t have time to wait a month for a car to return to me. I trust the work. But do not appreciate the rudeness that I was giving as a paying customer. And the lady who answers phones should learn how to speak to customers with a little bit more respect. All in all. I’m happy my car is done. And that it was done correctly. But will not return. Due to the disrespectful lady who...
Read moreIt's a typical small town, family-owned car shop. Unless you know the owner (John) personally, you're kind of running a risk by bringing your car there. If you're a woman, don't go there at all because they'll immediately try to scam you by saying you need multiple several hundred-dollar parts, doesn't matter what you go in for. When it comes to fixing the actual issues with your car, they're not bad as long as the right person worked on it. But any kind of bs they threw on to get more money from you? It's doing more harm than good, I promise. Also, do NOT buy a car from here. Every single person I knew who bought a car here didn't have it last longer than a year before a major, major repair was needed (like the transmission literally falling out). You generally shouldn't buy cars from places that also publicly fix other people's cars, but unless you want a car that was probably glued together right before it was put on the lot, avoid this place. Only reason I don't completely knock them is solely because they've put my car back on the road a couple times and they didn't mess it up. And even then they charged a very suspiciously high labor cost for what needed fixed. But the guys who run this shop have scammed a couple members of my family before, and I think some of the techs in there genuinely have no idea how cars work. At the end of the day, they're only there for the money, and they cut a lot of corners to save a couple bucks. Go at...
Read moreAbout three months ago I came into this shop and purchased a car when I was stranded in Pennsylvania and needed to get back home because my car had died unexpectedly. I fell in love with the looks of my 2002 PT Cruiser Black with the wood paneling. I thought I was coming out with a great deal in a really hard time.
I should have check the Kelley Blue Book to see that I was ripped off about 1500 dollars.
I've had this car about three months and have been left stranded on the side of the road 4 times.
The Battery died within one week of purchase. The alternator died. A leak in the radiator that adding up to $400 in repairs. My timing belt snapped, taking out the whole ending. The repairs adding up to $2500 (I guess we don't need to include the tires with the slow leaks and the terrible suspension that makes a very nosy ride, or the bent rim in my left front tire)
I guess they missed that in the inspection....
After breaking down on my vacation and getting stranded in Tennessee until it was fixed a whole slew of things started happening. My power steering went(they fixed that too). My AC broke( I just fixed that for $150). And now my car is overheating every time I turn it on.
They sold a 20-year-old girl a car that has made all of my hard work go down the drain, and now I have a car that I can only junk.
I'm not a...
