Waterfront Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Marysville

My fiance and I went to the Waterfront for the first time tonite 8/11/22 as we walked in we were greeted by a not so friendly waitress who just told us to go out back if we want to be seated on the deck. We proceed to the deck. And as a black and Hispanic couple, all eyes were on us as we walked out there. We stood around for a few minutes to see if someone would acknowledge us, but no. We saw a family leaving at a table so we asked another worker(male) if we could just sit ourselves, because I knew waiting for someone to sit us, wasn't happening anytime soon, so he said yes, we sit down at this dirty table, thinking he would eventually make his way over to clean it up for us, but no, he went over to 2 tables that were near us to take their order..he could've atleast told us that he would be right with us or something. Then I had to wave down the not so friendly waitress to ask her to clean the table and she says "you're supposed to wait to be seated" with an attitude, and once I told her that the other worker told us it was ok to sit here, she proceeds to say, ok I'll clean the table, by this time we weren't feeling welcomed at this establishment and told her we were all set, don't worry about it. Needless to say we got up and left and will never step foot at this slimy and smelly place. If we could give you no stars we certainly would. You being short staffed has nothing to do with being...

The bread for my fried chicken sandwich was hard and the sandwich itself was okay. The next time I went I had a buffalo chicken sandwich and the bread was a little better, but the sauce was definitely not buffalo, it was just some kind of hot sauce. The fries are decent, the portions for the price are good and the drinks are good. The worst part about this place is the bugs flying around you when you sit outside, and sitting outside is really what makes this place worthwhile. The view on the outside deck is really great and the only reason I came back to this restaurant again.

One other thing is that it seemed like the owner was drinking alcohol with some of the patrons, which is just not a good practice. Also, he reprimanded a waitress for something right next to our table in front of the whole restaurant. It wasn't loud, but that's the kind of thing you do in the back or after hours. Also, both times I went the waitresses who seemed to be on the clock and waiting tables, were eating food inside the restaurant in the main eating area. This just seemed...

I've eaten here a couple of times and it seems hit and miss depending on what you order. All seafood I've had here has been really good - no complaints there. It's also a really cool atmosphere - outdoor deck on the water and indoor cozy bar. Great beer selection and friendly service.

I've not been impressed with chicken items I've ordered and would not recommend ordering anything with chicken here. It's rubbery, impossible to chew, and seems like it comes with grill marks painted on. Probably pre packaged or frozen, I dunno.

Last time I was there, I got the chicken quesadilla app and it was inedible. The manager was very apologetic and said it's not a regular occurance, I wasn't charged for it. They definitely did right by me, but I would not order chicken ever again here. The chicken in the Buffalo chicken dip also tasted like it'd been frozen or something.

Like i said, seafood I've had has all been good. I'd just steer away from non seafood...
