Very peaceful place regardless of your views of CL’s contributions to flight or politics. Hidden for a reason unless you do your research before going to this part of the island. What else I like about it is that you can have a picnic lunch (if you bring it) on the same property where a park is located (Kipahulu Point Park) Northeast part of property. There are two picnic tables there. Good views when peaking through the fence. I think a neighborhood cat lives in the area and may join you for lunch. The driveway in and out is next to a horse farm. You may be able to take a few snaps if they are along the rock wall. In my case they were a few days ago. Old church is nice and leave a few dollars in the slot just before you walk in on the right hand side. Easier to get to now that they paved that desolate part of the island. No...

He lived here for another week and wanted to be...
Read moreThe road to this place, either from the North or South, is the worst I have been on in the US. It is a one lane with switch backs, broken roadway, cliffs, falling rocks, and numerous obstacles before you get there. If you must go, arrive from the North and take a jeep. Be aware, that 3 of the locals followed us in and stalked around while we made our way back to the car. They could have been OK but you have not phone service or anyone to call if something goes wrong. Just be aware of...
