I'm updating my review after a recent conversation with Meili.

First and foremost, I want to express my deep appreciation for Meili taking time out of her day to speak with me. I felt genuinely heard and seen, and it’s clear that MAB truly cares about the happiness of their brides.

The issues on my wedding day were largely due to a communication breakdown, with some mistakes on my part—including not double-checking that the questionnaire was completed and sent at least 30 days in advance. I take full responsibility for that, as it contributed to not achieving the style I envisioned.

What stood out most about our conversation was how attentively Meili listened—not only to my concerns but also to my suggestions and thoughts on where the disconnect may have occurred.

That conversation gave me a new perspective on the situation, allowing me to walk away with valuable lessons learned on both sides.

I believe they went above and beyond simply by taking the time to talk and genuinely listen to me. Many businesses wouldn’t have done that, which is why I’ve updated my review to 5 stars.

Also I really need to give more credit to my makeup stylist and hair stylist.

My makeup artist was incredible—she really knew how to boost my confidence and made sure to check in with me at every step of the process. She had me smiling and laughing, and that type of energy really helps with nervous brides

As for my hairstylist, my hair looked absolutely beautiful. It photographed beautifully and held up perfectly, even with the weather. Although it wasn’t the exact style I had envisioned, I could tell there were good intentions throughout the entire process and as I said in my first review, she really really tried to make me happy about my hair for my big day, which I am so appreciative of. My experience with MAB was, unfortunately, just okay.

Like every bride, I had envisioned a specific look for my wedding day. So, I was heartbroken when I couldn’t achieve the hairstyle I had dreamed of, largely due to a lack of communication from the company.

I first reached out to MAB on 04/27/2024, and my wedding was on 09/03/2024. I paid the deposit on 05/09/2024, and by 08/03/2024 I paid everything in full . I even filled out their questionnaire, detailing my ideal wedding hairstyle—glam waves.

It wasn’t until the actual day of the wedding that I was informed I needed extensions to achieve the style I wanted. I hadn’t considered extensions since my hair is naturally long and thick. If I had known ahead of time, I would have gladly purchased them to get my dream look.

Instead, at 12 PM on my wedding day, I found myself stuck with a hairstyle that wasn’t what I had envisioned. I felt devastated. I wanted the glam waves I had always dreamed of, but without the extensions—and with the weather working against me—there was no time or way to make it happen.

After paying $725 for hair and makeup, I expected to receive the look I had been dreaming of for so long, but I felt let down on such an important day.

I don’t blame the stylist at all—she worked with the information she was given and did her best to make me happy, and I truly appreciate her efforts. As for my makeup, it was wonderful and met all my expectations...

My hair was sheer perfection and I felt the most beautiful-haired that I’ve ever been in my life!!! Unfortunately, I had booked the “complete bridal experience” that came with an undereye patch, which gave me a giant hive (the size of a full-on eye bag) under one eye after it was taken off. It wasn’t itcy so I didn’t know my skin was being swollen up. Also, I had medically tested for 100s of allergies in the past and the only confirmed allergens for me are cats and dogs (I probably filled this in questionnaire, but even if I did not, there would not be any remotely cat/dog stuff being near my face on my wedding day.) and I’ve gotten all kinds of professional makeup and skincare done before, so I do not think this one is on me. I thought maybe it won’t show in the pictures too well, but I got my wedding photos back and a lot of them does look like I have a deep undereye wrinkle and a big undereye fat bag on only one side, but when I zoom in, I can see that it is the hive from the undereye patch, and the reception photos are fine due to the hive being gone by then, after taking allegra. As the bride, I had prepared for 1000s of things going wrong but getting a natural-looking yet premature fat bag was not one of the risks that I had accounted for. This wasn’t my first time in Maui, and this wasn’t my first time getting skincare products on my face or professional makeup done and I do not have sensitive or irritable skin. I have never reacted to any kind of skin products on my face. Maybe stress caused it but honestly I was relaxed thanks to the artists’ chill vibes and the hive developed right where the undereye patch was sticked. I really wish I skipped the complete bridal and just paid for the makeup. Just fyi in case anyone is curioous about my experience. Attached the pic of the temporary fat bag I had for a few hours during the ceremony and beach pics, and went away...

After following MeiLi Autumn Beauty on instagram for the past two years or so I always knew I wanted them to do my wedding day! When the chance finally came I was so excited to book them!

I don't believe I have ever felt more like a princess. My hair was swept back just perfectly with a touch of flowers, it was so elegant and I really felt like MeiLi was able to create a hairstyle that suited not only me but that really complimented the neckline on my dress.

With all the joyous chaos of family, out of town guests, and last minute wedding planning of course my face broke out the week of my wedding. I was a bit worried but MeiLi was able to make those blemishes disappear with airbrushing so that my skin looked flawless. The eyelashes were probably my favorite part of being done up. I received so many compliments on my eyes that evening and you couldn't even tell that they weren't my own eyelashes!

I wasn't going to have my makeup professionally done at first but am so happy that I did. It truly made a difference, especially in the photographs and video. I would definitely recommend MeiLi Autumn Beauty to anyone that needs that flawless look for any special occasion.
