Weis Plaza — Local services in Maxatawny Township

They had some packs of 3lb hamburger meat in the ice bin(when you first walk in the store's entrances)that were marked down. This was a couple weeks ago. I bought it, took it home, and immediately vacuumed sealed it. Sunday, 7/20/25 I decided that I'd have a burger on my grill. I ate it, and a couple hours later, I went to bed, around 8:30pm. I woke up at 11:30pm not feeling well. I tossed and turned and soon had to run to my bathroom. I must've went 4 times between the hrs. of 12am and 4:30am. And then another 4 or so till 12:00pm. I felt sick in my stomach all night and day till about 5:30 pm. I had to call in and miss work that day. I had food poisoning from their 💩itty marked down meat. I'm done with their hamburger meat. This was the 2nd time this has happened. I'll stick to deer, fish and chicken meat. NOT marked down. Adelphia fish and farmers market raised chicken. The deer they sell comes from new Zealand. Plus ALMOST EVERYTHING is so high priced. Believe me, I do my homework and shop around. But i'm done buying their crappy marked down hamburger. They get one star from me. It was the weis mkt. in...

Most of the time the staff is extremely friendly and informative of where things are placed. They cut their hours back to close by 11:00 p.m. They now also So a small supply of beer and wines to people of age. The meat department will cut large portions into smaller portions upon request. My favorite part of the store which is the "half off'' baked goods (as I call it the "1/2 baked sale" hahaha) section is also available every day. They have a sale on 1st big pizza every Friday. They also have a salad bar...

A rather declining strip mall. If it wasn't for the Weis supermarket and possibly the thrift shop, this mall would likely be financially under water. Most of the mall sits on a LOT of fill dirt and is easily missed by people who drive by.
