Went last night for the first time in a long time. When first arriving we were pleased our card from over 3 years ago still had its tickets on it. It was around 10:30pm when we came on a Saturday night (they close at 2am sat nights) Unfortunately bumper cars were "closed for the night" although in the past we've never had this issue. I believe since there was only one person working the entire place, besides the bar, he just didn't want or have time to run it for us. Laser tag and the rock wall were also unavailable. Before, they would go to these areas and let us play a round. There were Quite a few broken arcade games and just not a lot of games in general which made it really crappy that there were broken down games. At least 4-5 were broken. So between the activities not being available and very little games we didn't get to have the fun filled night we promised our kids for their birthday. My fiance works nights hence why our schedule had us come later than "normal". But being as they're open until 2 am you wouldn't think all these amenities wouldn't be available on Saturday night of all nights. We Also didnt see any signs depicting any hours for these activities When we Went to cash our tickets in he was very unfriendly and didn't give our remaining balance Even after picking a lot of stuff unless i asked And their prizes have really gone downhill. There's hardly anything over there. It looks like it's never stocked, very unorganized and not well marked. Its very unfortunate this place has gone downhill so much. Especially being as it's the only place of its kind here in town. A lack of business might be the reasoning for so much of these issues (little staff, broken equipment that isn't fixed, not much money invested in prizes). But if you create a place people wanna come back to, you would get return business. I try to keep my money local but we will travel next time we are wanting to go to an arcade until Great Balls of Fire is...
Read moreNew to McAlester and OK. Saw this funplex, and totally regret walking thru the dilapidated doors. During COVID this place does not routinely clean surfaces, and shoves families right next to other families. 8 groups bowling, and instead of distancing across 8 pairs of lanes they used 4 pairs. No distancing at all. Lighter balls get lost in the ball return and the floor grips the shoes. The Game Zone is a depressing experience. Of 35 activities 15 were non-functional. Lazer Tag, the Climbing Wall and the Bumoer Cars were closed. The Pool Table has duct tape right on the Cue Ball spot. One of the Air Hockey tables cannot keep score. None of the Fruit Ninja games were on. Of the 4 Claw games two stand empty, while the other two have 5 items between them for prizes. All 4 Skke Ball lanes were broken. The Guitar Hero game has a broken guitar. The Buck Hunter game has a broken gun on one side and an inoperative Sight in game. The excuse for ticket redemption is pathetic. 60 tickets for a Lollipop? I could go on but it is too sad. $2.75 for a soda. $5.99 for Chicken Nuggets and Fries. The "nuggets" were 1/2" balls of something, but I doubt there was Chicken involved.
Please, just don't. Don't waste your money. Go to Main...
Read moreMy husband and I took our 2 kids here 4 days ago. We enjoyed the experience. I was a little hesitant because of some of the bad reviews. We didnt want to drive over an hour and a half to come to GBOF and it be a waste but I'm glad I decided to give GBOF a chance. We ate dinner at the cafe and the food was great. Hands down the best fries and fried pickles around. We bowled one game. The balls did keep getting stuck but the next person would bowl and the ball would unstick. This helped so we wouldn't have to keep calling someone to get the balls. My 6 and 4 year old loved using the ball ramp. After we bowled we played arcade games. 3 game were down but this didnt stop them. All of the staff was very nice and kind. We had a complete blast. We also signed the kids up for the free bowling summer program. We will definitely be coming back once a week. The only down fall about GBOF was there were so many kids without adult supervision. A few groups of kids didn't have respect when it came to watching how they talk when younger kids were around. 5...
