McHenry Fiesta Days — Local services in McHenry

Ever hear the old saying, "What's good for the goose is good for the gander?" Apparently the McHenry Chamber of Commerce doesn't abide by those rules when it comes to this event. No chair bags should apply to all, but yet after trudging all the way back to our car in heat and humidity to put the chair bags in our car (at the insistence of a volunteer security person)...lo and behold when we entered the park, what did we see? Numerous CHAIR BAGS! If we hadn't already prepaid for tickets, we would have just left and said the hell with this!

And, the band, "How Rude" was great but the name was a perfect representation of the Chamber of Commerce staff member who told us it was because she "lived here" when we challenged her about the restricted aerosol can of bug spray on her table!

We have enjoyed this fest for a number of years as both Lake County and now McHenry county residents ( yes... we "live here" too)! Will not be returning in future. When an organization gets too smug and big for its britches, it's time to cut bait and look for a...

Such a fun experience every year. My only issue is that it's so popular and feel that the space they allow for rides, food and games need to be more spacious.
