Tahqua-Land Theatre — Local services in McMillan Township

In case anyone was wondering prices at the Newberry movie theater now. They have doubled with the new ownership... But there's not exactly a lot to do in this town. 🤷 A large popcorn is about happy meal size. A large pop is essentially a fast food medium. A large box candy is the stuff in the big $1 check out bins at Wal-Mart. 😬 Honestly, its probably cheaper for us to go all the way to Cheboygan. But a 4 hour car ride round trip isn't always an option. I guess the prices could be comparable to a multiplex in a city... But this is just a little one screen small town local...

A large popcorn is 8.50 that is ridiculous a large pop is 6.30 also ridiculous. It is also 11 dollars just to get a ticket. You will end up spending 25.80 on just popcorn pop and a ticket. They never get any good movies in they won't even consider getting anything over R but will rush to get the movies for little kids. I think I have been here twice in the last year because they never have anything worth watching in. And if a movie is rated R and u ask for it they won't even consider...

Nice, homey theater in a small town. It plays movies so it gets some stars, but it could use some updating, which I consider hard to do on such a budget being in a small town. Otherwise the snacks are cheap and people are friendly. There's a string of cobweb descending from the ceiling we were watching the whole time, wondering when it would fall, but...
