They are improving their selection-- edit that for the last a couple of months as of July 22nd 2023there hasn't been much of anything new-- however they still have the middle aisles filled with non-food items. there's a limited selection of groceries so I often need to visit other grocers to fill my shopping list, in part because the middle aisles are stocked with non-grocery things such as clothing, household organizers, small appliances etc, but it s a quick in and out at all three locations in Melbourne and Palm Bay. Cashiers are super fast so it's rare to wait in line more than five minutes but it is not infrequent that they ring up items More than once so check your receipt: UPDATE, I have not experienced them ringing up items more than once in quite awhile, but then, they are also adding self-checkout at all locations. Also I have returned items and they not only refunded me but gave me another item for free. You need a quarter to release a shopping cart. Otherwise, there are plenty of empty boxes that they won't mind you take. Parking is also easy in and out however exiting the store at Wickham Rd and Eau gallie boulevard location is dicey if you want to go north or get over into the left turn lane to go east on Eau gallie blvd, better to use the south parking lot exit where you will just have to turn west and then use the turn around to go back east where you will soon reach the intersection of Wickham and eau gallie for safer navigation. there's a walmart superstore a couple blocks south and a newly remodeled Publix a couple miles north. The store at Eau Gallie blvd is about a 20 to 30 minute drive from the beach hotels. There's another Aldi on New Haven Ave in Melbourne that's 10 or 15 minutes from several hotel chains on the mainland and an easy 15 or 20 minutes to the beaches. Another Aldi is about 30 minutes north on Wickham road close to the town of Viera and the...
Read moreDecent priced store, just wish they staffed the store better. 1 register open, woman (with an annoying child) with a packed cart... 2nd cashier was there but "she was closed" couldn't ring up my few things. I think I'd come here more if they cared a bit more. Update: Place has some things well priced, other things not so much. You really need to know your prices. Numerous things missing from their shelves. Employees aren't exactly helpful and slow to adapt to crowds. UPDATE: Things haven't changed much, if anything it's gotten worse. Prices go up, things aren't available and staff isn't helpful. Any decent employees tend to move on to other locations or leave. UPDATE: I have to say availability of items have improved. Employees unfortunately have not. Prices are very mixed, some things are great value. Others are comparable to others and a number of things are just over priced. So as always, you need to know your pricing. Buyer beware, shop around UPDATE: Certain things are becoming unreliable to get again. Don't bother asking employees, it's always on the next truck. Also they have joined so many other stores with "check yourself out registers". I want to know where my employee discount is then, if you expect me to work? Then you're standing in line and one of the employees asks if "you're paying by card?" Trying to push their self checkout kios. No go, I don't work for FREE. If they want me to use it, they are going to have to give me an...
Read morePOOR QUALITY!! Purchased a 10 lb bag of potatoes YESTERDAY, and had to take them back TODAY because they were spoiled!!! I opened my pantry to get something out this morning and smelled something horrible. I picked up the bag of potatoes and dumped them out in a large pan. One of them on the bottom was wet and soggy. So I started checking all of them, and my thumb poked through several of them when I went to pick them up. They were soft, soggy and spoiled so I returned them for a refund. What's the point of "saving money at Aldi", when you have to waste gas making a trip back to return spoiled food?? I have been shopping at Aldi for a long time. I've purchased spoiled produce from them in the past and would just throw it out! No more!! Their canned and boxed food items seem to be fine. Never had a problem with them. Their produce is aweful!!!! I purchased green peppers about a month ago. The NEXT DAY, I went to cut them in half to make stuffed peppers. When I cut them open, they were FILLED with black looking stuff. I threw ALL 6 of them in the garbage!! Again, not much of a savings when you are throwing them out! It is definately time to find another place to do my grocery shopping that has a much higher standards. I do not want my family to get sick from...
