I decided to give them a try. I’m sorry to say, I should’ve kept it moving. To start, when I got there, the lady that helped was very nice. She walked me through the steps of choosing a wash package. She mentioned my magnets on the car and the possibility of them coming off. I asked how bad the wash and pressure could actually be, and she said ‘oh it gets bad in there’ and starts to pull my magnets off. Which wouldn’t have been an issue, but they have been on my car for months, in the blistering Florida heat, so iykyk. Yeah, baked on. So she began to pry my magnets off. I then kinda just continue with the wash, preparing to speak with someone after. When I got to the vacuum part is when it got a little worse. I could see the residue left from where she had to pry off the magnet. I wasn’t gonna say anything, but then decided to. I drove over to the building. And was acknowledged by John that he’d be there in a few mins. But in the mean time, the lady that helped me and another lady came over to assist me. So I told them what my problem was and the lady that helped me started kinda rubbing at the spot and scratching at it with her nails. I told them that I wasn’t trying to cause problems, I just wanted it to be noted. I asked the lady to please stop scratching at my car bc she could possibly scratch my paint. That’s when she started getting an attitude. She walked away and then a few other times walked back by, mumbling. I again apologized and said I wasn’t trying to cause problems or get her fired, I just wanted a right and justified outcome. John and the other associate were very helpful. The other lady was repeatedly very rude and even cursing and threatening me. Now, I have to add that when she got belligerent and began cursing at me, I allowed it to get me out of character and I reacted and responded to her. I’m sure the cameras there caught hers and my actions. I apologize , as I’m not too proud of mine. But I have never been disrespected to that degree EVER, at an establishment that I visited. I asked John for her name; which I won’t be exposing. I told him that I had just randomly decided to stop there, bc I usually go to Tommy’s car wash. I’m shocked at her behavior. I don’t know if she was having a bad day or what. I’m sorry if I caused her any stress. I’m not gonna lie, I probably won’t visit there again if she stays employed there. I hope the management takes...
Read moreI highly recommend Dirty Dog's Car Wash on the corner of Eau Gallie & John Rodes! The staff are always friendly, attentive and helpful. My van gets a GREAT wash and the vacuums work perfectly every time. I really appreciate that the staff does the prewash scrub so I don't have to get out and do it myself like some other car washes...
About a year ago, I used to go to a DIFFERENT local car wash off of 192 that I will leave unnamed (NOT Dirty Dog), but my experience there was terrible...they lied about the wash membership pricing that I initially signed up for (when I asked why they were charging me WAY more, they gave no answer), there were multiple times where there was no one to help me with the unresponsive kiosk when I pulled up so I couldn't even enter to get my wash, and TWICE the wash just stopped when I was mid-way through. One of the times they knocked on my window and explained that it stopped because a belt was smoking. Luckily, I was only stuck for a couple of minutes each time...but !TWICE! I got stuck and I was literally only a member there for 3 months before I NOPED up outta there and canceled.
NONE of that has EVER happened at Dirty Dog. Going to Dirty Dog Car Wash after that nightmare experience has been a breath of fresh air. And the most UNIQUE thing about Dirty Dog is the way they price their washes...After I canceled at the other place, I did my research comparing all of the local car washes. Most were way more money than Dirty Dog AND Dirty Dog had an option that NO WHERE ELSE offers - The 5-4-1 Wash Membership where you can get the higher level for a lower cost. I LOVE that flexibility because I can only make it to the car wash every week or so anyways, but I'm paying way LESS for the BEST of the BEST. :)
Then the whole cherry on top is that they are focused on giving back to the community and first responders. Seriously...it makes zero sense to go anywhere else and I would recommend...
Read moreNo response using the contact form on their website, but the email they provided below got a response when I said I’d contact my bank about fraudulent charges. They did not resolve my problem and expected me to fill out a long form with details before even responding to my issue.
I solved the issue on my own when their text system sent me a member account link suggesting I upgrade my account to a better subscription plan. Obviously I did not want to upgrade, and I was able to cancel my account on my own. I don’t believe this was available the first time I looked at their website but I used a mobile device and could be incorrect. My account status reflected inactive in the portal but they had no issues charging the monthly fee for 4 months.
I will never return or use their services elsewhere.
Original Review:
Washed my car good 4/5 stars for wash. Very nice staff … But hate the exit incline - too steep for my low to the ground car - so I haven’t gone back…
… unfortunately the staff who “helped” me press buttons on my behalf didn’t inform me that the 5 for 1 deal was a reoccurring subscription - they just let me know how great of a “deal” it was and zoomed me through. I just happened to find my receipt while cleaning which states on it that I authorized them to keep charging my card monthly- then I checked my credit card history - sure enough I’ve been charged every month since going there. The receipt and website do not tell you HOW to cancel, just that you can. Everything is a subscription these days - I should have...
