Coborn's Grocery Store — Local services in Melrose

We went into Coborn's several times last week in Melrose Minnesota to pick up items we needed for our stay at our daughter and Son-in-laws place last week while babysitting their dogs. We were very happy to find Coborn's very easy to manage. So, with my husband pushing me in my wheelchair and I'm pushing the grocery cart, we proceeded to find what we needed and more! And more. And more! Before we knew it our cart was overflowing, 😆. The personel were very friendly and helpful and we had absolutely no problem finding all the items we needed. We visited several times during that week, because we knew that they would have what we needed. Coborn's is well-lit with bright lights, clean, and her aisles are wide for shopping with wheelchairs and grocery carts alike. The parking is free with ♿ handicapped accessible parking available. It is also attached to a drugstore for your convenience and a liquor store is attached to the building. My husband and I visit Coborn's every time we visit our adult children in Melrose. We wish that there was a Coborn's in Granite Falls Minnesota where we live. We only have one grocery store there and they really gouge the customer in the wallet, just because they can, they tell us. Have had a tough situation that left me homeless for a while iv lived in town almost 6 years and well I work from my phone and need wifi and coborns was nice enough to let me stay to work till today the loud short haird lady with the screech voice sat there and told over 4 customers that they need to watch me incase I vape witch the day before i I accidently hit it but held it in n she making an issue for no reason but the nerve to dog on me to over 4 different customers it's freezing out n you have the nerve to sit there and make fun and give me a hard time when I'm already having a hard time that's very unprofessional and my me feel not welcome good job kick a dog while he's down Ps If your gonna talk crap...

Staff is always nice and store is clean, but I’m sick of buying food and when I get home I find out the food is expired. This is happened multiple times never said anything tonight I’ve had enough I bought a can of tomatoes came home and expired in 2022 gravy packet cut open probably from a razor blade when opening the original package I’ve had old orange juice, old meat, products, and many others very nice store. They just need to make sure their product is fresh, especially with the prices they have.
