Let me tell you about my experience with Forest Hill Home & Memorial Park - Midtown. I see some negative reviews below this one but let me tell you about an incredible person who I had the pleasure of meeting on the morning of Monday, April 15th. Her name is Angela Franklin. Apparently, she is the new administrator who has been hired to improve operations, raise standards across the board and make sure every visitor is treated with the love and respect they deserve. I don't know what I would have done without Angela's help that day. After two hours of driving, walking and searching for my Great, Great Grandfathers tombstone I was about to give up. I had a map but it was very confusing and didn't look like the landscape around it so I had to call up to the office again and ask for help. Without hesitation, Angela asked me where I was located and not to worry. As promised, I see Angela driving towards the back of the cemetery in hopes of saving my sanity. For almost an hour we searched the area together until we found the tombstone of Andrew M. Wray and his beloved wife Minnie Christie Wray. I am Andrew M. Wray IV so you can't imagine how much this meant to me. I don't live in Memphis anymore but was unaware that he was even buried here. It was one of the most meaningful and memorable experiences in my life and I owe it all to Angela. Thank you, and thanks to Forest Hill Midtown for your commitment to excellence. Keep up the momentum, it's already paying huge dividends. Forever...
Read moreMany of my family members are buried there, however the current management is unresponsive. My mother-in-law was buried there in the 90's and my father-in-law in 2000. In Aug. 2016 my father-in-law's grave sunk and half of the headstone broke and was sunk inside the grave. It was reported to Pam (the manager) as well as corporate. Pam stated that they were busy with "new burials" and understaffed and didn't have time to attend to it. Since then, she has been terminated. Corporate reported that a storm had caused the breakage of the headstone and they would get it fixed, despite the fact that half of the stone was in the caved in grave. I was assured that it would be fixed. In December, it remained still there and broken. I spoke to Joyce and she stated that it would be fixed she took new information and created a "work-order" to replace the headstone. I called April 6th and spoke to Joyce. She referred me to corporate and said that nothing had been done and they were severely understaffed. I called corporate and I have yet to receive a response. The grave has been filled in but the headstone that is broke in half was just placed next to the other half. I am very disappointed with their lack of caring about the loved ones that entrusted them to take care of their families' final resting place. These people...
Read moreHORRIBLE!!! My mom passed 2021 and was buried next to my day. They have her feet at his head and when I tried to contact them it took forever to get anyone to answer the phone and they would take a message and no one would call back. I kept calling with no results that I finally searched for the parent company Stonemor and sent them an email, they referred me to Isiah May who finally contacted me and I explain that my mom and dad should be head to head and he pretended that I didn't know what I was talking about and I sent him pictures. i don't live in Memphis so I went to Memphis to meet with him and he first said it was the funeral home fault and to contact them and I said no, the person from the Funeral Home did not show up to show where my mom should be. I continued to email and Mr. May stop responding and I heard nothing else from Forest Hill. I would never use them, the vase is always broken off the headstone and they half glue it and it never lasts. My cousin headstone was halfway in the ground and I had to complain to get it corrected. ...
