I was going to meet my friend for lunch. She was there already & I was on my way. It was a 15 minute drive or less from my location, so my friend told me what was on the menu. I ordered the fried chicken dinner w/2 sides. A breast, thigh, greens & mac & cheese. I told my friend to tell waitress to wait about 5 minutes before she put my order in. Waitress said ok. I arrived & the security officer open door for me. I noticed my friend so I proceeded to the table. The waitress asked "you wanted the chicken dinner" I said correct. She proceeded to tap on ipad and walked away. It was about 12 people in the restaurant including us 2. My friend meal came out about 8 minutes after I sat down. She ordered the chitterlings plate w/cabbage & pinto beans. Chitterlings we're a little tough, beans we're salty & mac & cheese was just ok (friend words). She said the ChowChow little mixture was pretty good. Now my meal took almost 25 minutes to come out. When it did, the waitress missed the memo. The waitress gave me a thigh & wing instead of thigh & breast. Greens wasn't good and mac & cheese was so so. Now the chicken had a good crust but NO favor. My friend sent the chitterlings back and replaced with 2 side for a vegetable plate instead. Waitress brought 2 sides out and a small bowl of chitterlings for her to taste to see if they we're better. And she told waitress they were. Then the waitress comes back with the original size order of chitterlings. The waitress missed the memo again, my friend decided to do a vegetable plate instead of the chitterlings plate. So when the check came it was $75. The waitress charged my friend for a chitterlings plate and 2 extra sides. My chicken plate was $20. SO, WE WENT, WE SAW & WE WON'T BE...
Read moreThey're so rude and ignorant acting. I was HIGHLY recommend to try them. I was HIGHLY disappointed. I will NEVER order nor recommend them. As soon as I walk in, a lady says, oh you have a long order. I said, No. I just wrote down what my parents wanted. It's only 2 orders. SO, she and another lady walked off leaving me standing there. After seeing the food, I was like order 4 more plates for support of a black business. The 2 that were standing there to get the order walked off. Another lady had to get up to take the order. I asked the other lady what was in the first pan, she said, I don't know and didn't get up to tell me. I asked again, she said, I don't know what is what over there. Pure laziness and trifling. Then, the lady said her head was hurting and couldn't ring up the food. Another lady took it to dine in side to ring it up. How are you taking my card to an entrie other side of the building. Then, the sweet potatoes and mac/cheese were cold as ice. Flo, at the register acted like she didn't want to be there nor wanted to ring the order up. She said, mybhead hurts ans another lady had to ring me up, but she took my to the other side of then building. This place was highly recommended. I would give it a negative 0. In actuality, if the lady, Flo wasn't to lazy I was willing to order 4 more plates to help the business and take the plates to other senior citizens. THIS EXPERIENCE WAS HORRIBLE. The only lady that seemed professional and courteous was the older blonde, short haired lady. I love supporting my own, but this was beyond horrible customer service and...
Read moreThis was my mom's birthday and our first visit. When we came thru the door there was only 2 customers and they were relatives of the waitress . The waiter seated us but the table was nasty and looked sticky and gross and there was a car seat at our table. I said someone is sitting here. She had them to move it and I asked to move elsewhere and she said no that's ok I'm gonna clean the table. She started spraying the table with cleaner while we're sitting at the table cleaning spray splashing on us. Then she asked what we wanted to drink. Bring the drinks out and left, leaving the tray she brought the drinks on talking and playing amongst each other. Finally coming back to take the food order. I said girl this our first time yal need to get right. After that the service got a little better. The food was good, but while sipping our drinks the lights went out. The waiter started turning everything off. I asked what's going on yal closing or something and she said yes but we open back up at 6. Why wouldn't you announce that yal will be closing soon instead of shutting the lights off while people are eating. Yeah we won't be coming back! Yal have the most young, unprofessional employees hosting your establishment! Yal ruined our proud black owned restaurant experience! I...
